I visited every month or two and to be honest, I never knew I could be turned away at any time until recently. I like your decision. You filed everything separately though? Or you married then filed I-130 between visits? Is your husband deploying for long?

We got married in September last year and filed I-130 in October. I came back here for 6 months in February. We recently filed AOS after "new circumstances". I would hate to be apart while we could spend time together before he deploys. He will not be doing FULL 9 months tho due to PCS and doing CCC. But Obviously he needs me to take care of stuff while he is gone. On the top of that he got me a puppy when I moved here since I have always wanted her + he was trying to make sure I would be fine while he is at work, having FTX or being in JRTC since I can't work - Obviously.

Just received the NOA in text and mail, yay!!

Great to read there are more of us applying for AOS from a tourist visa! I have been here since January; we were traveling together last year. We got engaged in March and married in May. We didn't know we could ask for AOS before we came but after talking to a lawyer decided it would be the best thing to do opposed to getting married in my country and wait much longer for me to be able to come here.

Did anybody see a civil surgeon here for more immunization shots?I got the shot but it wasn't from a civil surgeon so now i'm worrying

SR_ZJ - so long as you have proof of the immunisation the won't make you repeat it.

Miki - sorry I went to the fabric store last night and I get lost in there. Aww, what breed of puppy did he get you? That's really thoughtful of him. And if you ever need a gab when he's gone (or any time hehe) or ideas for care packages or any thing really I'm happy to oblige

I mailed out my AOS PACKAGE on may 26 it finally got delivered on June 14 !! Thank God. Now the real wait begins.

Currently waiting for my confirmation text/email and also, cashing out the cheques

Soley - where did you guys get to travel to? We've driven a whole lot around the US between contracts. There are some lovely place and some seriously empty ones lol

We traveled from Miami to San Diego, stayed at many National and State Parks (we are nature lovers), got to meet nice people on the way and visit family and friends. We then stayed in SD on our boat for some time and returned to Orlando via a more southern route. It was quite an adventure!! It wasn't my first time traveling in the US. I have traveled many states alone.

And we actually made almost the same trip one way (Florida - California) 36 years before together, before life had us each go in different directions. We met again last year

We've driven from Idaho to Montana then drove across to Pennsylvania - we didn't have a map or GPS so it was quite surprising we made it hehe That trip took us through he upper states which were fairly flat and empty but driving in to PA is breath taking! When we came back this way we drove through the middle/southernish states - not as far down as Texas - and spent a couple nights in each one. It was a much fuller journey. Then in November we spent a few days driving from ID to WA, up through Oregon and the mountains and I could have stayed there!!

So glad for your update Alimanu!! Be sure to let us know how you get on.

Today is the first day I've ever been so glad to see so much money leave the bank!!! No email or text (that I'm aware, hubby's at work) yet but their cheques cashed this morning ~Happy happy

Hi, my husband used the NY DHS immunization clinic for his extra shots. You don't need the vaccinations from a civil surgeon, but you will need a civil surgeon to sign off your I-693, which contains your immunization record. They should give you a sealed envelope which you need to include as part of your AOS package.

Whoever did your shots should have given you a sheet with your record, which you'll need to take to a civil surgeon.
