I had the same feelings... With K-1 visa we got our NOA in 2-3 days. So after 7 days I started to panic and research any information about that. My advice is: no worries, we all know that AOS is pretty long process, for now, we have done all that we could so let's enjoy our marital life

Filed on June 1 (married on May 19 - I worked fast to get everything filled out!) and got my NOA-1's for the I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131.

Because I am adjusting from a tourist Visa. Technically, it's my spouse who filed the I-130 to request my adjustment of status based on marriage.

Correct - that's why we needed the additional form

I had to do the same thing as I also entered on a tourist visa.

Because I am adjusting from a tourist Visa. Technically, it's my spouse who filed the I-130 to request my adjustment of status based on marriage.

I am adjusting from tourist visa as well. Our petition I-130 got approved couple days after I came to visit for my husband. We called USCIS and they said we can adjust. But my husband is military and we were not planning on adjusting. It just works better for us since he is going to deploy again. We just wanted to make sure we could legally do AOS since it was not planned initially until our circumstances changed.

What branch is he Miki? My husband was Army for 8 years.

I've been here since 2013. We weren't planning anything either but leaving takes its toll, especially with visits only being every other year. I don't miss the deployments one bit.

I should also mention, we waited so long as my husband contracts and we've moved so much with that. We've finally stopped in one place for a good amount of time.

He is Army. We kept doing long distance when he first deployed and I was in Dubai working for an airline. I kept coming here every month for a visit + I would be flying as a Crew at least 3x Times a month to the US. We decided that it was in our best interest for me to resign and come back to spend some time with him during my pending I-130.

I visited every month or two and to be honest, I never knew I could be turned away at any time until recently. I like your decision. You filed everything separately though? Or you married then filed I-130 between visits? Is your husband deploying for long?
