Wow Jewell, that is fantastic news!! Congratulations :D

Sherri, pretty much just gather up all the tax documents again. They lose things all the time from what I've read on here. Currently the Federal poverty line at 125% is $20,025 for a household of two. If he meets the required income requirements resubmit all of your supporting documentation and perhaps a note explaining. My husband makes well over the guidelines but it's none taxable income so we included the past 6 months wage slips and an explanation of where the income is made up from. *fingers crossed I'm not jinxing us here* but I personally think they look at specific places on forms and need a slight nudge to see what they may not be looking for.

Good luck some more all!!

Thank you so much, Ischnura!

I called the USCIS an hour ago and the agent told me "There is no mistake, if you don't go through biometrics it's because we have everything we need. You should receive your NOA by August 28th and your green card max 60 days after that." I still don't believe it. I just can't.

Wow congrats Jewell London!!!

I did walk in with military ID in Nashville, TN. The guy even told me I am lucky I had my military ID otherwise he would turn me around and have me come much later. My husband was at home (he is AD), I am only a Spouse.

Okay we planned on going to the USCIS office in Charleston SC today and then I found out that the Army base in Columbia provides a biometrics service, so we went there and we were done in 10 minutes :content: One step closer.. Now we have to start organizing our home and packing our stuff because we are moving from South Carolina to Oregon within a few weeks.

Just checked one of the case tracker apps, of the 200 around my case number (100 before and 100 after) all but 2 i-485's (plus mine) either have an rfe (since august 2nd or 3rd) or "ready to be scheduled for an interview" since yesterday or today. I wonder why mine isn't moving, haven't had a soft touch since July 25th :( I really just hope I hear something soon!Do they update these things after office hours or should I just wait another day and not hope for any update today..

Potentially, your interview can be waived (sincerely wish you that (F) )

Or your local office can be slow the same as mine. I've got my update at day 71. I knew, the office in Denver is extremely busy(((

From your timeline, I filed a little earlier than you (June 3rd) from a K1 so around 66 days ago.

I wouldn't worry about the progression too at much at this stage given some statistics I just ran on the 800 cases surrounding mine (400 above, 400 below). The statistics shows that around 25% of us haven't been touched for interviews, RF(I)Es. I anticipate that this is normal

image.jpg

A few notes on the above statistics

- I've focused only the I-485 cases (most were I-765, I-131, I130s although there were also I-102, I-290B, I-360, I-601, I-601A and I-824 in there too).

- I also removed the 102 cases whose "fees were waived" and I suspect that these are refugee/asylum claims. Also, the I-485 are bound to include those adjusting from a K1 visa as well other from other visas (e.g. from a J1, etc). This left 166 cases.

- I could try to separate out those cases which seem not to have an I-130 associated with them but this is more effort for very little gain.

- The 'last update dates' were all over the place but I did notice that a lot of cases becoming 'ready to be scheduled' around the same time in late July.

I think possible scenarios as to why our cases haven't had much update since July 25/26th (which is the date that the cases were first uploaded to the USCIS Case Tracking system):

1) USCIS haven't gotten to our cases yet (e.g. presumably adjudicators work at slightly different rates; one adjudicator might be slower than the other and simply hasn't worked through their piles yet perhaps because they're more thorough, are being trained by somebody who is an expert who checks everything over, or simply has been on vacation!).

2) USCIS haven't gotten our FBI name checks or biometrics back yet.

3) Our cases are held for a potential interview waiver (crossing all my fingers for this but don't want to jinx it haha).

4) Our cases are transferred to a local case office but they haven't looked at it yet (I'm less sure on this one as I don't know how this would be reflected so I cede to others' thoughts).

5) Something else entirely haha.

Either way, nothing particularly to worry as we're well within the processing times for I-485 cases. I'd assume we could still get an RFIE for the first two scenarios, and possibly get an RFE for the latter three scenarios.
I am not able to help too much with the "Do they update these things after office hours or should I just wait another day and not hope for any update today.". I feel that sometimes they update overnight but I've also seen a few statuses change during the day on the Case tracking apps.

Simon.

P.S. For those wanting to know about the Case Tracker apps, then I mentioned these a few pages back as did others in this thread. I won't re-post the links now.

You and your spouse will need to bring supporting evidence of the relationship... i.e. photos, joint checking account, joint lease, joint mortgage, and birth certificates of children if any etc. Also, it is very important to bring the current passport of the applicant, as the CIS will stamp his/her passport with the I-551 stamp if they are approved. This stamp is proof of permanent residency that can be used until they receive their greencard. This normally can take up to six months. The interview is fairly painless and may be video recorded and lasts between 15-30 minutes.

That's what the guide says. Pretty much a duplicate of everything you submitted in the first place plus the supporting evidence you may have accrued since then.

Congrats to Jewell. Hopefully you'll get the card soon enough and be hassle free. ????

I got my RFIE yesterday for the I-864.

They're asking for proof of the petitioners income, which we'll send

Second point is all the supporting documentation for the most recent tax year (I didn't include the W2 because we didn't have it at the moment of sending it)

The third one is the one I'm curious. They're asking for assets/joint sponsor. Now in the first checked mark it says that the income listed is sufficient, but there's no proof of that. And I know they have standard check marks to write/ask for. My curiosity is: if we send proof of income and the supporting tax documents, we wouldn't have to send/look for a joint sponsor. I saw similar posts but the people got joint sponsor anyway. We don't need one. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks ?
