Not really much to call for right now.

Uscis been having trouble with the online case updates, a lot of people can't see their receipts online, for months.

As for the hard copy of the receipt, the text/ email you get says you need to wait around 45 days before requesting another copy to be sent

Ok I'm getting really peeved now. My case was received June 06. I've had my biometrics. But yet none of my case can been found on USCIS case tracker ?!? Are people still having issues ?

Hi Emmylou :)

I'm basically on the same timeline as you having sent off AOS package from a K1 in early June and having now had my biometrics (mine was a walk-in in late June at an ASC in an entirely different city/state due to honeymoon). I've not had my case coming up on the USCIS case tracker either.

I have an app on my phone that check all of my case number numbers in one - I just click on the app once a day and find out about 3 seconds later that my case has not been found. I think a lot of people are in the same case. I phoned in the telephone line but was told by a Tier 1 agent that they couldn't do anything for me until 45 days had passed. I didn't push to be transferred to a Tier 2 agent but I might do next time as I think somebody mentioned on the forums that Tier 2 agents can possibly see more about the case..

For now, I'm just going to have to assume that my case not coming up on the myUSCIS tracker is simply a good thing and that "no news is good news". Saying that, I'm unclear about whether USCIS have a) simply done nothing with my case, b) done a few things with my case but that nothing has identified as missing, requiring further information/evidence or invalid (yet! I've got a few concerns about the my passport-sized photographs and some of the I-864 documentation), or c) tells me absolutely nothing.

Hopefully, everything will go smoothly for you (and for me too!).

Simon.

Guys, don't worry about the case not showing up online. As long as you got your receipt and biometrics, your case is there, on the queue to some day being reviewed (and we all hope it will happen sooner than later).

Uscis is not great with the online updates. If you look at my signature, you can see I wasn't able to check my case online until yesterday (at night!). And only my i485 was updated, because they actually had an update being case is ready to be scheduled for interview. I'm tracking with app 500 receipts around my own and on July 11th only 25 cases could be seen online, last night this number jumped to 84, it's not much, but it was something. They did a batch of updates yesterday.

Be patient and hang in there!

Getting the biometrics appointment letter is a good sign, but doesn't mean your case is already been reviewed, since they need the background checks results they get, with the biometrics you provided.

Edit: I don't know why I can't quote both of you to the whole response, but I wrote everything to the both of you

Tomorrow we are attempting an early walk in in Charlotte NC! Its about 4 hours with bad traffic (we'll be leaving around.rush hour :( ) hoping to get there shortly before noon.

Since we are doing a walk in I want to make a good impression. Do they have a certain dress code? Or is everything fine as long as you are dressed nicely? What did you guys wear? I know most of the time walk ins are allowed but since I couldn't find anything about our asc for the past 5 years I am a little more worried :) if we get denied tomorrow my husband will have to call in sick on the 20th so we can go back.

If you want you can wear ripped jeans or sweatpants...it won't make a difference. Don't worry about it too much, all they can do is tell you to come back on your appointment date. It'll suck, since it is a long drive for you, but don't stress out over your appearance..it's the least they care about ☺

I agree!! I haven't been able to see my case online since the beginning. Biometrics are done and still nothing. If I was the only one I'd be worried but there are many in this forum with no access to their case online.

Once more patience is the key in this process. :clock:

Alex and I have been friends for 23 years. We met in Mexico City and kept in touch as our friendship grew. I know in general it wouldn't be a big deal but I figured "look like a bum, get treated like one" so I guess dressing nice wouldn't hurt even if it wouldn't help. If they don't accept us it will be okay still we are hoping for the beat but prepared for the worst :D

I had my bios in Brooklyn today and they were all nice. As a matter of fact I was surprised at how nice they were. One guy in particular. He was checking everybody's documents and telling them were to go/sit. He's doing this every day, says and asks people the same question over and over, yet being very polite and courteous to every single person, even if they didn't understand it right away...and we're talking about NY here!!!

So, I really hope your people will be just as nice. Dress casually and be comfortable. No need to overdo it ?

Good luck tomorrow and give us a short update.

Well on top of our timeline we have that ssn problem in common then haha,my middle names were put qs my first name too they say its very common since in the us people only have one middle name. It took a while longer but arrived eventually, they told me 12 weeks but i got it after about 8 or 9 weeks, so hopefully you will get yours soon too!

Hmmm okay.. So I'll just wait a little longer, I planned on going to the local Social Security office this week but it was impossible due to my husband working hours -_- But tomorrow we go on a trip to visit family in Oregon so hopefully when we come back the SSC and the Biometrics letter will be in the mail.

Good luck with your walk-in in Charlotte today!

I hope it's something that you can fix easily. This is good because they're already looking at your case and it's moving fast for you, it's been a little over a month and it's moving! Good luck

Timeline

I had my biometrics in ASC West Sacramento. Went a little bit earlier than the appointment time, had to wait for approximately 15mins. before they started to call those whose appointment time is 3pm. Filled out a form. All in all, the whole process took about 30mins. Now, the real waiting time begins. ?
