Hey guys.

My husband and I filed for aos on the 17th of June. The package arrived early morning on the 20th of June. Up till now we still haven't heard anything.

I also filed for AP and an EAD.

I know it's pushing it but we are hoping to get the AP before October. We are having a belgian wedding ceremony on October 8th.

I haven't seen most of you on here since I filed for a k1 a bit longer ago, in June of last year.

Is anyone here going to the VA field office for their biometrics? It is a 5 hour drive for us and although I would do a walk in if I was sure they allowed it and it would speed up the process, I really don't want my husband to have to take a day off from work twice. So any info about the Virginia field office would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck to everyone :) I see some people filed after me and have gotten their NOA1 in the mail already, I'm a little jealous but very happy for you guys!

Hi Inkasminka, thank you :)

I had to bring my passport with my visa and stamps of entry in it. They pulled up the I94 themselves but you could bring a print of that as well if you have one.

I also had to bring our marriage certificate, all the NOA's (NOA1), a proof of address which in my case was the deed to our apartment and my husband had to bring his passport as well. We actually had to go 4 times.

1: do computertest. I couldn't do the driver's test the same day. You might want to make an appointment but we decided on a walk-in early the next day.

2: walk in for drivers test. We had to go to another office as they were already full for the day.

3: Walked into the other office; had to wait for the driver's test but could take it.

4: They had not told us we had to bring my husband's passport and the marriage certificate (not a copy but the certified copy of the certificate) so we had to go home and come in again.

There is something else I wanted to share as I saw a question about it, but I can't find who asked it. Anyway, they wanted to give me the DL with the date of my expiring stay which would have been july 18... so that was not good, just a few weeks. I asked if she was sure about it as I have my NOA's and they mean I'm not even supposed to leave the country at this point as my AOS is pending. She then went to a supervisor to inquire and found out there is a rule about is, I could not follow what she was reading online but it must have something to do with the NOA or the status of people who have applied for AOS. She was then able to give me a year - so it says TEMPORARY in red letters on my DL but a year will hopefully be enough. As soon as my status changes I can go in and have it changed. Hopefully this is helpful to some of you or at least the person who was asking :)

Thanks Soley, that was very helpful.

We are going to try this Friday to see if they can give us extensions too.

We got a check made in the bank where my husband has his old stocks and all that, they won`t allow me on it until I have a greencard. So I can`t check and my husband has been working. If it was out of our joint account I could have just checked it myself. He is going to call them early tomorrow morning though, hopefully they`ve cashed it! I will let you know!

I also noticed that we only filed a few days apart for our I-129F, and got approved only 1 day apart! :D

Alright I am stressing just a little bit here.]

When I filed for AoS, EAD and AP I put everything in one package, with just one cover letter, all just following one another. not in separate little packages in my envelope.

I only included one copy of my passport, one copy of my birth certificate, one copy of our marriage certificate.

I was reading through other people`s cover letters and saw that a lot of people put extra copies of them behind each new form (behind the AP and behind the EAD). I only did it after the I-485.

I did include extra passport pictures.

Will I get an RFE for this or will they just use what they have since it`s all included in my package anyways, just not 3 times?

How did you guys do yours?

I believe so. Every form has its own requirements, if they were not met, they'll ask what's missing with a rfe.

I only included what you did...one copy of documents, and included 2 photos of me and 2 of my spouse.

Everything was accepted. When I called to verify status, I was told that if there was anything major missing, they would not have issued the I-797C's. ...Hope that helps calm your nerves a bit.

Received NOA1s for AOS, AP, and EAD this afternoon after receiving email notifications last week so yay! Now just waiting on the biometrics letter and we'll be a-rollin'

We decided not to go for a walk-in because we don't see so much of a rush at this point. But that may change.

Also to mention--I know a lot of us were concerned about the fact that our cases haven't been showing up online. I took it upon myself to find out which number they're up to on the app to get an idea of how far back they are. According to said app the last number up is MSC1691222916 which is probably a June 20th date even though the last update is the 22nd (it was rejected for improper filing). So they've got a long way to go which is unfortunate since my number is in the 4000s in the last four digits.

Maybe they only show up in cases where something goes wrong? Like requests for more evidence, etc.? Situations where there is some contact with the people that filed. Other than that it seems like they're only obligated to have cases show up on myuscis after 45 days. So for now I'll just see it as a case of no news is good news and stop stressing about it. I've tried that website too many times now and I feel like the next time I type in the address my browser will just return: "really?!"

I know the feeling... I'm not that worried because I've got the receipts by mail, went to my biometrics, all seems ok. But I think you're right, the cases that show up are "name changed", "rfe" and expedited work permits.

Good luck to us and keep waiting
