Hopefully it won't be too long until some favourable clarity/conclusion (for instance, this favourable conclusion eight days after what looks like the same email; I couldn't find too much on VisaJourney about it so the hyperlink is an external link to a person's blog). Though there are some instances, here and here. Perhaps it might be worth calling up USCIS, like somebody did in on of the VisaJourney posts I have linked to.

Keep us updated. I am certainly routing for your Green Card to be with you very soon :) :) :) <3

Thanks Simon.

I looked at the links and it seems like everything turned out fine

But now I cannot even think straight

I will certainly keep you updated.

Soley

Thanks for your reply.

I am so worried...can you imagine...approved at the interview...I even signed a paper stating that I have been granted Conditional permanent residence....then I got the message that my new card is being produced....and then my case was sent to the AAO?????

I am so confused

I totally understand muccapino. It's not an usual thing to happen it seems. But you're in San Diego; that might have to do with it. We just came back from San Diego; maybe I saw you there without knowing it :) anyway, California deals with many immigrants and maybe they just check every once in a while to see if everything is okay.

Simon had some good suggestions I saw, and you already looked at them, good!

Give your worries to God or the universe or whatever you believe in. They do you no good. Keep breathing and trusting life is good and everything will be fine.

I know I worried quite a lot in the beginning and it didn't help; when I let go everything turned out just fine.

We will be thinking about you - definitely keep us posted! Much love to you!

Just wanted to give an update that, I received my approval letters on Saturday December 17 and to my surprise I received my greencard in the mail just 6 days after my interview. I was so shocked and happy at the same because they had said 2-3 weeks and I saw a lot of people waiting for Thiers with different time periods. I guess this is my final update for a while. I do wish you all the very best on your journey.

Any news yet, muccapino?

You could always call a tier 2 officer, they can look at your case and see if the card is being produced.

It looks like most people who had this happening to them did get their card.

Judy, thanks for your concern. :)

I finally got the green card :joy: , but I waited because I wanted to have it physically in my hands before make any post.

Fortunately that weird status update "Case approval was certified by USCIS" was the notice of approval which I got on Monday.

I am so happy, and I want to thank all of you for being so close to me during this journey!!

Thanks again!!

Good Evening Everyone,

Just found this thread and hoping for some advice when needed and to offer support as well.

My fiance is in Mexico and im here in NJ we sent off our packet well the lawyer did and received a Form I-797C Notice of Receipt just the other day. They reported receiving it on 12-06-2016 and mailed on 12-15-2016. It was sent from the California office.

From what im reading i will await a NOA 2 which is whether they accept or will need additional information. It seems like such a lengthy and ambiguous process at the least. Has anyone experienced going throught the process in Mexico City?

Thanks

R

Hi from what i was reading in the forum the interview isnt done in Mexico City? He lives in Mexico city so just assumed it would take place there. Seems like Juarez is where they take place? Does the medical, fingerprints and photos have to be done in Juarez or can they be done by services in Mexico City? Thanks in advance.

Hello

the K1 Visa Interview will take place in Ciudad Juarez.

Fingerprint can be taken in Mexico City, the pictures as well

the medical in Ciudad Juarez, so when you have the date of the interview it would be better if he goes to Juarez 2 days before the interview, so he can have his medical before.

HI Thanks muccapino,

Do they do all the fingerprinting and photo taking at the embassy anyways?

Just thinking it might be easier to do at the embassy in Juarez and prevent complications. Don't want to have any delays if possible.

And since they have placed all fiancés Visa to go through Juarez the most dangerous place in north America im thinking they are already trying to discourage people don't want to give them anything else.

I suggest you to do the fingerprints at least 2 weeks before in Mexico City so by the time you go to the interview the consulate in Juarez already have the fingerprints results

you can choose to have the fingerprints taken in Juarez but if you do that you should go at least 4 or 5 days before the interview

so I suggest you to do it before in Mexico City and just go to Juarez for the medical and the interview ( total 3 days)

first day: medical

second day :you wait for the results of the medical

third day/ interview
