My life is on a roll again, I got my EAD and am back into work! Is there a link someone can post that shows how long interviews take to be scheduled? I was a little late in filing and I'm concerned that it's not going to happen before my medical expires which is in December. My case status says they're ready to schedule it as at August 08.

Sorry to have to quote myself but I didn't want to start a new thread.. should I be worried about having to schedule a second medical ? ? My case still says "ready to schedule interview".

My wife received her EAD/AP Combo card today. I'd like to say we received it in the mail, lol but the truth is, it was getting close to 4PM when the SSA office closes, so I drove through the neighborhood and found the postman. He was kind enough to dig the letter out of the back of his truck.

We made it to SSA with 15 minutes to spare, they wanted an original birth certificate, but since we couldn't supply one they settled on her EAD Card, a certified copy of our marriage certificate and her passport.

They said the processing time is 2 weeks, but normally people have their SSN within 5-7 days. He said the card should be mailed out tomorrow unless they flag our application, then it could take two weeks to receive the SSN Card.

Are there any links on here that people post how long it took them to get interview ? I guess it would be good for us as reassurance ! I've seen that some June filers (maybe it was one) have already had their interview and got their green card....

I have also ready it's hard to find approved physicians that will carry out the medical for visa purposes and when you find one it's very expensive.. I'd like to look now if I need to! If anyone knows more about this please let us know !!! I can't find a thread that actually answers the question...

According to this link: http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-aos.html#6.2.2 we don't need another medical as we filed for aos within a year of it. That makes more sense. It made bo sense for them

To expire that quickly during a process that is most definitely not quick.

I guess I rest happy for now then!

hi everybody,

i am originally a june filer and i am also in the other june 2016 filers, but by the looks of it i fit in here better, hence there are more people in here whom are in the same boat as me receiving rfies and rfes,as you can see on my timeline. we send the response to the rfie on sep 27 and it was updated online to " Response Received " on Sep. 29th... so i am also waiting again. i know its only been 2 weeks since uscis received my response, but i am curious when i could do a service request for my EAD !? Anybody any ideas ? from time i filed originally ( 6/24 ) to now it has been 111 days.

also today i received my medical exam envelope from the civil surgeon including a complete copie. i just now had it done since i can take it with me to the interview unless i get another RFE to send it in.

now i am waiting again

Ok so I haven't been around checking the forum because I started getting worried about people that filed after me and have had their AOS already approved.

My case has been stuck in "Fingerprint fee recieved" since june 4, eventhough my package was filed on May 31st and has a receipt date of June 6th.

When I look into 200 cases around mine, the I-485 ones have gone from 20 still in "fingerprint fee recieved Status" to only 12, me included. The last movement on cases was on October 6th.

I have tried to get busy with work so I don't think much about this but I am startind to get restless. I haven't called USCIS because I don't want to add to my stress.

I am adjusting from a K1 Visa and maybe this means that my interview might be waived, but if it isn't how much more time should I wait until I seriously get worried about my case status not changing?

Is anyone else in this same situation?

Check the processing times for your field office. You should only start worrying when it's past that. Everyone's journey is different and comparing yours to others only will make you sad. Chin up!

You're welcome! Finally managed to get on a computer and do some research. Mobile version is difficult to use for me! Anyway, I'm happy I don't have to worry about that.

To those waiting on EAD/AP.. it will happen. Don't look at timelines, don't stress. I got mine after 3 months of filing, and that included having to have my fingerprints done a second time because the guy the first time was new and didn't do it right which delayed it by a month, and also I had an address change and moved states. My original EAD was returned to post office because of this and I never thought I was going to get it, but I DID. And you will too! Only call if it hits 3 months and you haven't got it or had an update. I've found stressing isnno good for anyone. Immigrating and marrying is stressful situation to be in as it is. You made it here, I'm sure y'all have SSN by now, be grateful you made it this far !

So tomorrow is the day. Interview early in the morning 108 miles away and that's the closest. We're also moving across the country in a couple of days. I think my head might fall off. :-/ Hoping and praying we don't forget to take anything with us in the morning. The tree has been reprinted, we're leaving around 06:30 and I have no idea what else. Any words of wisdom?

Try not to worry too much, as hard as it sounds, this is out of your hands now. You'll have your spouse by your side and that's all you need, together you'll get through anything life throws at you.

Best of luck, everything will be alright.
