AOS June 2016 Filers

Just a couple quick question. I chose not to file an I-131 application for AP because I honestly did not see the need for it before 1 year time but based on recent developments I may need to travel before that. My questions are:

1. Would applying for AP now since I received my Biometrics Appointment date today delay the process?

2. Should I wait until after doing my Biometrics to apply for AP or should I wait until after my EAD is approved?

You can do it as soon as possible, follow the guides and don't forget to include a copy of your i485 receipt.

I don't think it would. The biometrics appointment is only for the i485 and the i765 anyway. (You can check in your letter that's the receipt numbers they have there)

It's been happening a lot lately. Some people go the entire process without being able to check the case online, some will only see anything after getting a rfe, with some it will work as soon as they received it.

I sent my package on 5/18, even went to my biometrics appointment but the case number still doesn't work online.

As long as you get your letter by mail, it shouldn't be a problem. If you'd like, try calling uscis after the 45 days.

Thanks for your reply, but now I'm kind of worried since me and my wife moved to another place, and I wanted to wait until receiving the biometrics appointment letter, but then in the call previously made to ask about why is not appearing online, she changed the address, which I think it's gonna delay the process, since they sent back an email saying they were going to send a approval of the change of address 2 weeks after.

At this point, my only step is just to sit and wait...

Hey Miki, none of the receipt numbers are working for us yet. Just going to try once a day and probably not hold my breath. As nice as it would be to see (stalk) it online I've read that plenty of people never get online access, not even after approval. Looks like we should get our biometrics middle of next week if everyone today is to be gone by though

Finally Biometrics letter arrived today!

Appointment date July 5th!!! Yei!!! :joy:

So happy to see so many positive updates on everyone here. Let's hope the ones still waiting for NOA1s and Biometrics letters get theirs soon.

Got very similar dates that you. Got my biometrics letter yesterday. Checked today in MyUSCIS and I still get an error every time I put my receipt numbers.
