You don't have to wait 90 days. You only have to wait 90 days if the RFIE was for the EAD.

You only need to wait 30 days extra if it was for the I485. So you should get it before day 120.

Maybe file another SR in a week or so. Or earlier if it was a bit ago.

On another note.

Wondering how long it took for most of you, not you buzzz (sorry), to receive your EAD combo card after approval.

i got the update on ead "card produced" on the 7th of sept, the 8th it changed to approved, my ap updated on the 8th saying approved as well.

the 12th my status changed to "card was mailed to me" i received it in the mail on the 15th. of sept, so 8 days after approval.

ny uscis status still says card was mailed to me. i never got a tracking number, and myusps never alerted me of it, although it does alert me of other packages.

so next time my phone buzzes and its a text from uscis i'll probably be really excited over nothing, when my ead/ap statuses finally change to card was delivered to you!

my aos still says fingerprint received, since june 25th.

hope this helps!

hello guys i been worrying about this for a couple of days now.

My story is like this i am an illigetimate child so in my birth i am nkt recognize by my father so i should not have my middle name, instead im using my mothers middle name as my middle name and my mother surname as my surname as well. So all my documents has my middle name. When i applied for a passport the dfa did not let me include my middle name for the reason thag i am an illigetimate a renewed my passport still they dont wanna include my middle name since thats the law.

Right now we are only waiting for our Manila case number but this makes me worry a lot. My birth does have my middle name and so the other documents. EXCEPT the passport.

im worried if this might can cause a denial for our k1 or delays... please dear friends who have expereince this enlighten me advice is badly needed :(

The RFE was send to our old address and then it got forwarded to our new address but that took them almost 2 weeks. We've mailed the 'evidence' last Tuesday and they received it last Thursday. Before we received the RFE I did an SR for the EAD, but the RFE is for the I-485. So I'm not sure whether to wait or do a new SR for the EAD next week (the case numbers for the EAD/AP still don't work).

I thought I'd share my interview experience from this past Thursday.

First off - we did not get approved. Sounds terrible, but it's not as bad as it sounds. According to the officer, he would have approved us on the spot but the paperwork that the Civil Surgeon who had taken care of the immunizations had given us, did not have all the required pages. Since it was in a sealed envelope, I had no idea what the USCIS received...until last week.

About the interview process; Our appointment was scheduled at the Raleigh, NC office at 11 am. We waited for only 15 minutes before we met with the officer. We were sworn in and he went over some basic information; name, address, birth dates. He mostly addressed my wife. After that he asked several questions similar to what is on the DS-160 application. I guess these are a must. (For the life of me I don't understand why anyone would answer yes to questions like " have you ever killed anyone...?")

I had put together a package that included everything but the kitchen sink. I probably wasted a perfectly good ink cartridge on this...and I didn't get to show off any of it. Not a single picture, statement, financial documents...

The officer was very nice. Very professional and to the point but not in way way intimidating. He explained why he couldn't approve us with the missing pages from the Civil Surgeon. He offered us to come back the same day and approve everything , if we could get the required paperwork. He even wrote his extension on a sticky note so the guards could call him when we came back.

Overall, even though the outcome was not what we had hoped for, it was a good experience. The best advice I can give is to have everything (and then some) printed out AND, maybe more importantly, know where everything is in your pile of paperwork, just in case you need to present it. Nerves do play a role here...

I have a new sealed envelope. This time I made them show me what they are sending before they closed it. I plan on sending it in on Monday.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Infopass. I wonder if I can make an appointment and hand deliver the envelope to speed things up. We are travelling to Europe in 10 days and I would rather have her passport stamped with the I-551 than use the AP card.

If anyone has specific questions, feel free to post them or PM me.

Hello, I will give you the experience we just had. Our application was held up by an expired medical exam. We scheduled an infopass appt to hand deliver the sealed envelope to the officer in charge of the case. We were lucky she was there that day. She then approved and stamped his passport right there. We had met with her the week before about our case so she was prepared for us.

First off, there is still absolutely no change to my case. I485 on 'fingerprint fee received' and EAD & AP on 'approved'. Can't do SR either because the 30 days have not passed yet. What the :ranting: !!

I won't bother to get in any more detail because they'd kick me right out of the forum for using such a foul language.

I will be calling USCIS in a few days and ask them what the :ranting: they think they're doing and definitely do another SR.

I do have a question about the infopass though:

Can I go to the appointment by myself or do I have to bring my husband?? Anything else I should know about it?

First off, there is still absolutely no change to my case. I485 on 'fingerprint fee received' and EAD & AP on 'approved'. Can't do SR either because the 30 days have not passed yet. What the :ranting: !!

I won't bother to get in any more detail because they'd kick me right out of the forum for using such a foul language.

I will be calling USCIS in a few days and ask them what the :ranting: they think they're doing and definitely do another SR.

I do have a question about the infopass though:

Can I go to the appointment by myself or do I have to bring my husband?? Anything else I should know about it?

You can go alone. It's really unusual for the combo card to take this long to get to you though
