still no update on our case status, still no tracking number. myusps still says no packages are headed out to you. BUT!

this morning i went and got the mail and got 2 envelopes coming from lees summit! 1 was the response to the service request. wooptidoo right. the other one was a priority envelope, so I ran home, opened it aaaaand IT HAD MY EAD AP COMBO CARD IN IT!!! WOOP WOOP we are going to belgium!!

I just had an Affligem tonight with my dinner, mmmm the advantage of being here

In Florida we have a cool store with a lot of different Belgian beers, we even found Delirium Tremens there! Chimay, Westmalle, Orval etc.

Prices are quite different from Belgium $$$$$ but every now and then it's definitely worth it.

Hi guys I have couple things to ask

1. Once I get my combo EAD/AP , do I have to go to renew my SOCIAL SECURITY CARD( which says on my current card that "valid for work only with DHS authorization "

2. Also does my alien # will remain same thought out my life or will it change once my AOS is approved? As I'm filling job as soon as I get my combo card & on job forms they ask for A# ! Can I use the existing one

3. I called tier 2 and lady said u might hear at the end of December or mid Jan for my I-485! Do they need background checks again ? And why they need so long to review my RFIE?

Since my EAD will b approved soon as it's in new card production status ! Does it mean they are ok with the RFIE response I sent ,that's why they granted me combo card.

Got the green card in the mail last night -- status is still at mail card, no tracking number, usps.com never text/emailed either for the delivery just showed up.

So the story..I saw the package and naturally knew what it was. I got home with all of the mail and put it at the bottom, I then handed some to the wife and said we got nothing just a few bills and an address change form for some reason address to you...she helped open the bills and then I said here's the address change, open it and let's see what they want with that. She starts to open it and then stops and goes feels like there's a card in here and I am like oh really(knowing it's the green card for her) she then grins huge and rips open the envelope and has a huge smile saying oh my god thank you finally over and over.. lol it was fun!

Anyway best of luck to the rest of you still waiting and thank you for any of your assistance, I am sure i'll be back asking more silly questions since uscis decided to have her green card in her maiden name and not the married like we filed and do not even inform us they will use the maiden name...got to love uscis officers who think they have the power of God in them, karma...i hope they remember karma!!

Yayyyyy :) This is excellent news, apart from the maiden name issue: I've seen a few reports of that. I changed my surname with marriage too so I guess I'll find out what name I'll get on my card, my unmarried surname or my married surname (is it called a 'maiden' name for me? I'll happy be a maiden despite my gruff voice, I'd love it).

Yesterday on the USCIS case status website, my card went to "Card was mailed to me". I was double checking every 4 seconds before in anticipation of that messages.

Now, I'm double checking the MyUSPS website all the time to see if a tracking number comes up. I'm also double checking the USCIS website to see if it turns to "Card was picked up by the USPS" (can't remember the exact wording).

Perhaps the checking of the USPS website and the USCIS websites are a bit redundant if nothing came through for you! (and similar reports by others). I got all the text messages from MyUSPS when my EAD was sent through. Maybe that won't be the case in this instance though, and I'll just keep getting attention-grabbing updates about Amazon deliveries that my wife made haha.

They've send us an RFIE at th 1st of September but we were moving from South Carolina to Oregon and we got there last Tuesday.. The sponsor's household size was calculated incorrectly so I have to correct page 4 of form I-864.

On the 2nd page of the RFIE it states that the income did not meet the sponsor's household size and then there's a handwritten note next to it 'house hold size unknown'.

Do you think we should just correct page 4? As they already have all our income information (and it does meet the poverty guideline) or should we add a tax return / payslips, just to be sure?

OMG, I am so addicted to checking the my case website, I've check the wife's case at least 5+ times already today even after getting her green card. I need help....lol!!
