Would you mind elaborating a little bit on this? I quite sure I may have to do this as well. Is it just a written letter by you to bring to the interview or you just told the interviewer?

Well this varies from Consulate to Consulate and from case to case. You just have to prove to them that YES you ARE planning on living in the USA permanently if they grant your wife a Visa.

In our Embassy's page it says we need to prove to the consul our intent to re-establish domicile by showing we have taken steps **or intent to take steps** to do so.

Since my husband has not maintained a CC or bank account, we showed them e-mails from and to the kids' school, asking about admissions and enrollment etc.

We also showed them a signed letter from our current school saying please delete these students from your roaster as they will not be coming back due to immigration.

Our in laws bought us a house, so we showed them an affidavit from them about it.

We also listed the steps we "intent" to take like interviewing for jobs or actually enrolling kids to school (this can't happen unless they are there physically).

There is a LOT of leeway for the domicile thing and it sounds like you are doing great with the cc's and accounts.

Thank for the detailed explanation Marrienne. So for the "intent" items, you basically wrote a latter explaining what you intent to do, correct? But yes, I definitely never planned to stay in China permanently that's why I kept all the accounts and stuff. Also, I love buying things from Amazon and eBay. I also have a permanent mailing address, a private mail box, that I use for everything.
