Baby on the way... Can we expedite? How?

I remain to be convinced anybody has obtained an expedite solely on the grounds of normal pregnancy.

The very odd occasion I have seen it suggested there has been little in the way of confirmation.

Why was your husband banned for 5 years? You mentioned where he always gets through?

You have 5 months to go before the baby is due, good luck. I would be more concerned about the previous ban and is he no longer under review for that.

Just my opinion, but no one asked about that.

Because your pregnancy is high risk, OP, try foe the exedite. As mentioned, it never will be granted unless you try. Best of luck and i do hope your pregnancy is uneventful beyond the joy it brings you.

This is true. We didn't have kids together or a joint lease or mortgage and got approved. I did send a boat load of other evidence though.

I can tell that you haven't been jaded by previous experiences, which is fine. As a child of a marriage that was basically for a green card, I can tell you that my birth means absolutely nothing to my British father who just wanted to escape the poverty and lack of social mobility back home. Different experiences color your perception.

I am sorry to hear that. My husband and I, however, have had the total opposite experience with our respective parents.

What baffles me is the simplicity with which some think conception must be. Odds are it's much easier to enter into dubious financial partnerships , as many do, than conceive, birth and raise a child although there are many women who'd naively fall into such traps under false pretenses of their amorous partners.

I've explained it earlier.

the ban has been over for a year and a few months now and that he has been removed under 212(a)(7)(A)(i)(I) which is is basically intend to immigrate, as far as I understand and is most common (correct me, anyone, if I'm mistaken)

We both believe that it must have had something to do with his previous job that sponsored him in the US but as markets crashed he was let go off it (B2?)

It would be absolutely ridiculous if this ban, although expired, has lifelong impact. People under bans can still challenge this restrictions while they are in effect, we, however, chose not to.

If people with STDs are allowed waivers to their inadmissibility, the scale should tip even further in favor of immediate family members of US citizens.

Sorry for the off topic responses. I just find it puzzling how hostile some of the posters here are to the idea that having a child together is evidence of a good faith relationship. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope you find a way for your husband to be at the birth. I went through the same thing while petitioning for my husband, and it was frustrating but ultimately very survivable... Hang in there with the emotions and hormones. :)

Thank you, my dear.

I hear everything's survivable in comparison to labor pains :-)

I think that, just like in non-immigration life, pregnancy happens under *such* a variety of circumstances, some with true intentions and others with significantly less so, and the more time you spend here, the more you see the "less so" and the more jaded you become, especially when personal circumstances and histories can give you a pre-existing worldview. And that's just here. So imagine a USCIS officer. I think it's just so highly individual, couple-to-couple, and more than likely in your case it can be seen as supporting evidence.

But what if it was a female beneficiary from a high fraud country applying for a K-1 with a man (let's imagine he's significantly older than she is and/or a recently naturalized citizen from that same high fraud country) she's only met once, through a matchmaker or mutual family friend. Red flags all over that, and the pregnancy could be less of a "oh, they really love each other and are starting a family" and more of a "well, something seems afoot here". Depends, I suppose.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

Conception can be simple and complicated. I know exactly the day my daughter was concieved, it was the day we didnt use condoms 2 months into the relationship with her father. We were together over 9 years and never co-mingled financially. (Or married.)

My best friend in high school was raped by her boyfriend and concieved.

My mother and my sister both concieved on birth control.

I know multiple men and women who have multiple children with multiple partners.

But for some people its very complicated and takes a long time, and often a lot of money. I also had friends who spent over 50k and several years trying get pregnant with their first daughter, but the second was a complete surprise.

I know more couples with children that refuse to co-mingle their finances than the other way around.

Dear all,

I have forgotten to mention that I sent our my petition on June 1st and have not received neither an email confirmation of receipt nor a text message

However, today, I received this message in an email that left me baffled

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number LINxxxxxxxxxxx"

I know that my package has been delivered since I tracked it, but I am not sure of what this wording means... is it NOA1 or NOA2??? accepted???

Please please anyone, advise me. I, of course, tried to check the case status online immediately, but it is still not recognizing it.

Appreciate your help
