hello

we filled out the ds-160 form for my fiancé and his son and put that they would each be traveling alone. which they are, my fiancé will come first and his son will follow within the 6 months the visa is good for. ( I was told I can do that) not sure now if this can be done because they are telling me that he cant travel alone because hes a minor. his son is 14yrs old will turn 15 in December should be coming in October. I know some airlines will let him travel, does it have anything to do with the embassy and the visa?

if anything I can go and pick him up but now he wouldn't be traveling alone like stated on the ds-160...im so confused now and scared that this may delay the process.

can this be done? please help, their interview is 06/14.....my fiancé and I decided to do this so we have some time to settle in.

thank you in advance

Since you seem to be asking a question to the US Embassy in Lima, why not contact them? Short of that, perhaps someone who has gone through Lima has some info?

As far as I know it's more of an airline issue if he can fly then a visa or embassy issue. My son has just turned 15 and at 14 he flew from Australia to L.A then on too Baltimore, he wasn't questioned at any point of his journey, although getting him home again was another story.

If you are worried about him taking the flight on his own and it has no connections for a fee you could use the unaccompanied minors service.
