June 2016 I-130 filers

Waiting for NVC to receive the package I sent to them, and then the clock begins for another 6-8 week wait. Just hoping my check and double check will pay off, and I can avoid any checklists. In my mind I am silently thinking what could I possibly get a checklist for at this point. I was meticulous with everything, explained any discrepancy. Provided everything I had that was required per their cover sheet. But I am sure they will ask me for something that will leave me baffled, and we will have to think of a way to come up with that requirement.

Our case was approved 01/18 and status changed to sent to DOS on 01/31.

I was wondering how long it will take them to get our case.

We are planning on calling back on Monday.

Don't over think things. If you didn't miss anything, it will be fine.

Hey tanish my case was approved 1/19 and sent to DoS 1/27 and I called today and they said they received my case today (02/03) and I should call back in a week or 2 to get a case number. For me it took exactly 1 week after it was sent

I'm glad to see that most of us are getting approved!

Great. Thanks. We are going to call on Monday to see if they have received it by then.

I hope everyone who suffered the lag of Nebraska gets through NVC as early as possible. Good luck with the rest of the process.

PD June 21. No NOA2 so far. Requested help from Congresswoman and got this response today:

A review of USCIS records indicate that your constituent’s Form I-130 case has been forwarded for additional review. We cannot move forward on this case at this time.  We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the reviews are complete. 

A more ominous sounding version of my SR response.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your case is currently pending adjudication. However, we have had to perform additional reviews on your case, and this has caused a longer processing time.

NVC received on 02/06. We were asked to call back in a week or 2. Let's see how early we can get the case number.

Assuming you’re using Chrome (if not, download it), right click where it says “I-140” and click on inspect.  You’ll see a line of code like this: <option value="I140">I140</option>.  Change that to
<option value="I130">I130</option>. Then put in your PD and hit Submit. Sometimes data is a little stale. In that event , click on the “Job Submission” button and submit your number rounded up to 100k. Enter 20 blocks and hit submit. Come back and check in a day or two. Hope this helps.

Data seems somewhat out of sync.

 

My case status reads "Case was sent to Department of states". It changed on 01-31-2017.

According to this site, the Max date range for the mentioned status is 01-24-2017, but overall gives good enough overview.

I just called NVC and received the NVC Case Number and IIN. They said they are still entering our case details into system, and could not provide the time when our case will be online.

 

Hope the process starts soon.
