Embassy/Consulate (Interview) Stage [43 days from Case Complete to Visa in Hand]

05/18/17 -- Consulate Received. CEAC Case status changed to "Ready"

06/01/17 -- Medical Examination [Complete. It took around 2 hours. Total Cost INR 11650 for Surat City Apollo Clinic]

06/12/17 -- Biometric (OFC) Appointment

06/13/17 -- Interview [7:30 AM at Mumbai, India]. Visa Approved

06/15/17 -- Visa in hand

06/21/17 -- POE at DFW (Dallas, Texas)

----- Removal of Condition -----

Removal of Condition (I-751) [Approved]

06/18/2019 -- Sent the package (3 Days before GC expires, cutting it close). Sent to Lewisville, TX via FedEx Ground

06/19/2019 -- Package received at around 9:30 AM (Hoping I don't get rejected for missing deadline)

06/24/2019 -- Card was charged with $680 fees. Text Message received confirming Receipt. Case routed to NBC (Case Number starts with 'MSC')

06/28/2019 -- NOA Hard Copy & 18 Months Extension Letter Received in Mail with NOA Date as 06/19/2019

07/12/2019 -- Biomentrics Appointment Letter received. The Letter is Dated 7/5/2019. Appointment is on 7/22/2019

07/22/2019 -- Biometrics Appointment Complete

02/01/2022 -- Interview Scheduled for 3/3/2022 (combo interview)

03/03/2022 -- Interview Complete. No new Green Card will be produced as my Naturalization was also approved.

03/04/2022 -- USCIS status changed to approved.

Naturalization (N-400) [Approved]

03/26/2022 -- N-400 online application complete. NOA Date.

01/15/2021 -- Biometric Complete.

Look at the visa bulletin. Right now the priority date they are on for your category is Nov 15 2014. So you're looking at almost 3 yrs from start of filing your petition until your priority date becom

I did not use myUscis.

 

I really advice to send one package and not two.

6/12/16 - Preparing to send packet to USCIS

6/27/16 - Sent Package to Chicago lock-box via UPS

7/5/16 - NOA1 Text/Email / sent to Potomac (Hardcopy 7/10/16)

8/3/16 - NOA 2 I-130 Approved! Case sent to NVC! (Hardcopy 8/6/16)

8/19/16 to 9/4/16 - Visited wife for two weeks in NL. =}

9/1/16 - NVC Case and invoice # received. (Email) Finished DS260 and Paid AOS Fee.

9/8/16 - IV Fee Paid!

9/16/16 - DS260 Finished!

9/27/16 - Sent Documents to NVC.

11/21/16 - Called NVC. Case reviewed and accepted on 11/18. Waiting for email/mail.

11/28/16 - Got Email stating we are now waiting for an interview spot!

12/11/16 - Got the interview date! 1/12/17!

1/12/17 - ...ACCEPTED SHE IS NOW WAITING FOR HER PASSPORT IN THE MAIL! =]

1/18/17 - Passport and visa in her hands! We now wait till 2/24 for her to fly to me! (Has to finish work contract)

2/24/17 - She is now here with me! POE was simple,she only took 10 minutes with them checking her visa! "Welcome to America,missus"

3/15/17 - SSN Card Received.

4/10/17 - Greencard Received.

 

Preparing I-751 (ROC)

11/26/18 - I-751 Prepared and mailed out.

11/27/18 - UPS Confirmed Delivery at 10:30AM

12/3/18 - Checks cashed and got Email/Text With Receipt #

01/3/19 - Extension letter received.

Received notice this morning that expedite was 'approved,' but only once all the paperwork is in. I called NVC to ask about this, they said the expedite was for the interview only and would not speed anything up at NVC. Their current processing time is ~6-8 weeks. So much for "expedite."

I don't that it changes for I-130s

They will have sent it to NVC, but the My USCIS status won't show 'case was sent' until it actually leaves the building. It usually takes about a week or two.

This whole process seems endless :/

I understand the sentiment very well, but this is kind of a good news. Once we submitted our RFE, the case was approved in 9 days. Just make sure you send the requested documents ASAP.

 

Your approval is just around the corner.

My wife's divorce papers that we sent with the application were just the affidavit that she signed and and not the actual decree. She never received the decree. She assumed that was it that she needed. USCIS asked for decree, and then she realized that she never received the decree and we had to order a copy from the court.

Hi Tanish! 

 

In our case, my husband didn´t have the original decree as well. He did manage to find a copy (and not a very good one either). So for it to be legally useful we asked a friend that lives in Chicago (that's where he got divorced) to go to court and a judge basically said that this document matches the original that they have in their records. They put a bunch of stamps on it and so far it's been good to do all the legal work to get married in my home country (it has an apostille) and now with the I-130 application.

I'm angry,frustrated and worried. 

 

The new immigration policies are adding to it all especially since one doesn't know what's next. My husband is a Muslim Brit and I'm not sure where that puts him
