Got my I130 for my stepdaughter approved today, 10/3, from Nebraska. Filed June 8.

Just found out my NOA2 approved Oct 25, 2013 is still good. Was automatically extended by the embassy until one year of the last date of notification which is Dec 3, 2013. It's a race now.

Did you see it updated on the uscis website first ("check your status") or did you get the NOA2 by mail first? I am wondering if they're keeping the web portion up to date at all.

Called USCIS again, asked for tier two. Application is now pending adjudication or something like that - lady said they're "verifying background checks" or something. Case was last touched on September 13th, which was a few days after my address update, so it may only be that, but at least there's a little bit of movement.

Just spoke with tier2 officer who made me feel like he was doin me a favor rather than performing his job. I seriously can't stand those who can help you and yet act like you have to beg them, be it financial aid officers, POE officers, etc.

Anyhow, he tells me dates have changed, now you have to wait for 8 to 12 months instead of 5 months and directed me towards NV bulletin October 2016.

Looked there and did not find this info.

Anyone else? Is this even accurate? He wouldn't even tell when my application has been looked at just stating it's being looked at.

How enlightening! I'm really disliking this!

I don't know where he's getting that info - try calling again and see what the next person tells you.

Any movement from anybody? Coming up on the five month mark... So in theory we should start to see more NOA2s?

No idea! Have you tried contacting them? They are so slow and blame it on lack of staff. I was told that there are a,1000 application per 100 employees and too many people trying to immigrate. Sounds like a lame excuse!

Will such an excuse by an applicant be accepted? "I couldn't respond in a timely fashion because I'm overwhelmed"?

Other centers are doing fine, so why isn't Nebraska?

If you decide to call, please update us on this new timeline (8 to 10 months)

Thx and good luck!
