The officer just said interpol and FBI checks are taking longer now and he could see on my file that my fingerprints haven't come back cleared yet.

Ok, sounds like the officer could give us some additional info relating to our cases. I got two minor misdemeanors, but I have been cleared by the approval of 601 waiver.

Approval letter came in yesterday. My online status still hasn’t changed since when they first received the app so I wouldn’t count on that (many people ran into the same thing)

Congrats, hopefully, it will be July or August filers' turn soon. It took you nearly a year considering Vermont Service Center has a history of being slow. It was quite fast for you because it usually would take over a year for VSC to approve, but i guess this year is all messed up.

My partner and I were at the Phoenix office today in order to get a stamp in his passport.  Our 751 was received at the CSC on June 27, 2016 and the fingerprinting was done shortly after that.

We were told they were presently working on June 7th cases.  We were also told the slowdown was due to lack of staff.  There has been a hiring freeze since January.

We had no problems at all with getting a passport stamp which will keep my partner legal until Thanksgiving.

Thanks! I just registered on the USCIS website. I had forgotten that they had that feature for notifications.

I had my InfoPass appointment in Minneapolis this morning. It was pretty quick and painless.

I was called to a window within seconds of checking in at the front desk. The officer knew I would need an I-551 stamp before I said anything, and basically gave the impression that it's become a frequent request. He mentioned that he needed to do a quick background check before issuing the stamp, and had me wait for about 15 mins before calling me back to the window again. Then he handed back my passport and explained the purpose of the stamp. Done.

Some notes:

-He took my expired Green Card, stating that the stamp was sufficient now.

-The stamp has a raised seal and says "Employment Authorized," which is nice.

-When I asked about my case, he looked on the computer for a minute and just said that CSC is processing June 7, which of course is not new info.

The whole process was 20-25 mins.

Hey. Did you request the info pass appointment 30 days before the CG expiration date or NOA's expiration date?

My GC expiration is 6/11. I made the appointment exactly 2 weeks ago.

Edit: My NOA was 6/8/16, so I filed I-751 pretty close to GC expiration. However, I still believe that the actual extension end date was one year from the date on the card itself.

Got it, thanks. Mine expired 10/28/2016, so I guess I can make an info pass appointment in October this year if 751 is pending by then.
