No. Your status (Legal Permanent Resident - Removal of Conditions pending) doesn't change.  It's a good idea to continue to have proof of your status (especially in states that insist on proof for drivers' licenses etc, and to be able to easily prove your status if you're looking for a new job) but if you're not travelling, have a full term driver's license and aren't likely to change jobs, you don't need to get the stamp unless you want to.

This is the reason why we keep getting pushed to the back of the line for processing. Our status is safe - we never lose status throughout the process until and unless our petition is actually denied.

Confused, but  when the CG 1 year extension expires, don't you have to extend it while your case continues to be pending, so you will be in the country legally?

The update of the processing times is available. Guys, get ready to wait for another 6 months, zero, Zippo movement since a month ago..sad

Well, that's about where they were March 31st, (which of course is almost 2 months out of date at the "update") so it does kind of make sense. I guess we'll see (anecdotally, on these threads and in our timelines) if CSC picks up now that VSC is (again, anecdotal data from April and May) pretty much caught up with where CSC is.

Seriously, are you trolling me right now?:P Just kidding. But No, No, No.

Your status doesn't change. Your ROC is pending. It's still pending. You're legal until and unless they actually tell you you're not. You get a stamp if you want proof of status.

I called USCIS last week. My extension letter was dated June 10,2016. She told me I have to get a stamp before June 10, 2017 which is the year after my extension letter. My Conditional green card expired on August 6, 2016.

Hey guys, USCIS website just updated the processing time, CSC still is June 7th 2016 as of 5/23/2017. They completely stopped processing I-751?!

Technically, (although the monkeys on the phone won't admit it) CSC is still at June 7th as of 3/31/2017. That's when the data was current. The "updates" are always at least 6 weeks out of date, and this one is 7.5 weeks out of date. Granted, they haven't made much CSC progress since then either - all the attention has been going (it seems) to getting VSC caught up, which they've been pretty successful at.

The people on the phone don't really have any more information than we can get with a Google search. Go ahead and make an appointment, but you may not get a stamp until July. It's worth a try though if it'll put your mind at ease.

I am not really worried. I have a valid DL until 2019. I got my Driver's license last year and they don't care about my extension letter expiring in 2017, they just wanted to see it. Also, it doesn't take much to sched where I am, there's always open slots.

I filed in May last year and got the receipt dated for June 3, 2016, Conditional green card expired on Aug 22, 2016. Today I received letter from my employer that my current status is expiring on June 3. I always thought that one year extension was from the date of expiry of conditional green card. I am stressed out, went to USCIS website, still says your case cannot be found, filed a processing delay report, they said its still in the processing times..what should I do ?? Any suggestions ??

So from May November 2016 to May 2017, CSC has only been processing May 14th - June 7th applications.

Quite interesting!

With this rate of speed, it seems it's taking CSC about 4-5 months on average to process a single month's filing.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

Regarding your case not being found in the USCIS online system, our Biometrics appointment letter had two case numbers listed, both in the "Application/Petition/Request Number" box. Have you tried both in the USCIS system? One of our numbers gave the same response you received but the second number did indeed access our case.

It depends who's reading the letter. Some would think it extends one year after the extension letter date and some after the green card date. It's obvious that your employer views it as expiring on the letter date. You should get your passport stamp asap and show them the letter from your employer.

Posted (edited)

I thought also it extends one year after the green card expiry date then I asked my husband what he thinks, and he's the US citizen, born and raised. He said, the letter states it extends your green card for another year, it's one year from the date of the letter.
