Very depressing. Our letter is expiring on June 26th.

Every time i check InfoPass website to book an appointment it says "none available".

I am planning to call them tomorrow.

I made our appointment right after .midnight, between 12 and 1am without a problem cause that's what people usually suggested to do but just now I was also able to get an appointment slot though the uscis app that I track our case from without a problem. Give these two options a chance.

Sorry to go a little OT for the June thread, but as many people are now looking to make infopass appointments, and if anyone interested, people who are struggling to get an infopass appointment - try other offices in your area.  I read that you don't have to go to your local office to get an appointment - any office will do.

For example, where I am from, Miami can be very hit and miss - I often look at 10am in the morning to see what's available, as I think I'll need to make one soon, so planning ahead to anticipate availability.

So in the last few weeks - looking day to day - some days - the whole day 2 weeks in advance is available.

Other days - zero available.  One day I looked - there was an appointment 90 minutes later - if you were local and quick off the mark.

But when Miami is full, I check Kendall and Hialeah and often Kendall especially, always has appointments available.

So just a little bit of advice for others who are now looking to book infopass appointments and aren't having much luck. YMMV.

Hi guys - I apologize as I think this topic has been discussed already but seeing people talking about expiration date on the extension letter is confusing me. Is the letter extending your status for 12 months starting after the receipt date on the letter, or 12 months starting after the expiration of your conditional green card? Thank you.

Just a heads up that I traveled outside of the country and came back yesterday with my GC and extension letter (NOA1 date is June, 10). No questions asked, and CBP just stamped my passport with the ARC annotation.

I know we had all been wondering what date the extension letter extends (NOA date or GC expiration date), I figured I would use the opportunity ask the CBP guy what was the cut-off date they use for their admission (1 year after NOA date or GC date), the CBP guy said it was the last date on the GC. This is important to note as CBP is the agency that admits you and not USCIS - So what USCIS says doesn't really matter when it comes to admitting folks into the country.

I guess this settles it. I personally wouldn't bother with a stamp in my passport any longer as my GC expiration date was 09/05/2016 so my letter extends it till 09/05/2017. I will only go for a stamp if the GC doesn't arrive before 09/05/2017 and I need to travel.

Just to confirm again, if anyone happens to travel outside of the country, ask CBP the same question as well and let us know what they say.

I'm glad I found this thread, I filed in June 2016 and got the extension letter but will be leaving the country in September (when my GC expires) and I was just wondering what I need to do if the GC hasn't arrived by then!

Apologies, I didn't have time to read the entire thread, but I am assuming from reference to INfopass appointments that if I don't have my 10 year GC in July/August, I should probably go see USCIS and ask what's up?

Thanks in advance.

OH and by the way, I have traveled outside the US on my extension letter twice - first to Australia for Christmas, then to NZ in April. I'm about to do it again to go to China. I never had any issues with the extension letter, other than one of the airlines (AirNZ) hadn't seen one before (I was in a small rural airport, not the international one, but checking in for the international flight) and had to ask her supervisor if it was acceptable form of proof of residency.

Thanks for the info. In my previous post here, I also mentioned I asked CBP offiercers for many times when I came back from my business trips ( which I have taken more than 20 times out of US with my expired GC and extension letter), they confirmed one year extension to the GC expiration date every time. Not sure why people still keep asking this question.
