Someone on the May filers forum just mentioned having problems. Could it be that the mobile site isn't working? I just got onto the appointment making page no problem from my laptop.

There's no problem. It happens when your browser is overloaded with USCIS files.

We went today for the infopass appointment to stamp the 551. The official told us that the I797 Notice of action extended the permanent resident status one year from the date in the Green card and we can travel whit the letter and should be no problems. Since our case was received in June 13rd 2016, probably we will pass the year, because our file is not moving at all.

Also I ask for the N400 and she told us that we can send but anyway N400 won't supersede the I 751, as per her suggestion we should wait for the I751 resolution and then send the N400 which also got a delay of about one year here in the Florida area.

Conclusion not stamp, travel with a letter, what as per others users of the forum here is fine, and not N400 until Green Card arrived.

It is frustrating, because they can't provide you any information why your file is so delayed, and the expectations to receive anytime soon are nothing but probably between one to 6 months.

That's interesting how different USCIS offices proceed. The officer that helped me never questioned the stamp request and that the letter expires in June.

The memorandum from 2003 does not specify and it looks like different offices proceed according to different interpretations of it.

I read your post when you get the stamp, and I was assuming that we will get our stamp today, but as I said previously, with USCIS there is not 2 cases the same, is too much of the officer discretion, and that is not a guideline for what to do or don't with each case, there is too much different opinions involved with USCIS officials.

Alright guys, so I went ahead and made an InfoPass appointment for May 18th. My GC doesn't expire until July 16th, extension letter is dated June 20th, but my new job is wanting to make sure I am eligible to keep working for them (obviously) but I explained that cases are taking longer so I have to go and get a stamp in my passport to extend me another year etc. It might be too early and they could tell me to come back but I'd rather try to go earlier, and possibly get it over with, then for some reason wait and not be able to get an appointment.

It says to bring any documents relating to your case: so extension letter? I did a COA, so confirmation from that as well?

Also I've noticed all of my receipt numbers on my documents are either two different ones, or one that doesn't populate anything when I go to check my status. Like for example, the one I have on my COA confirmation from USCIS doesn't work if I go to look up my status. So, for making the appointment I put the other one that does work, even though that one sometimes isn't listed on all the documents, just some of them. Is that normal?

I would bring the confirmation and also your biometrics letter -- just so they have both the numbers, depending on which one they need. Otherwise, there aren't any other case-related documents... the expired GC itself and your passport for them to put the visa in - that should be it, right?

Just a note;  whey you check the uscis website for status of your case and it finally says"New Card is Being Produced"  there is yet another update.  This was posted to us on 3 May 2017. Yesterday the 8th of May I checked again.  This time I saw yet another message:  "Card Was Mailed To Me"  Tells a new card was mailed for our Receipt number and gives us until 7 June 2017 to get our card. I'll update as necessary.
