Thank you. FYI last week, I called USCIS on 06/07/2017 for status update as it was a year over the original I-751 received date. A tier-2 officer called back 4 hours later, but she couldn't provide any new information other than "Case received on 6/6/2016" and "we are still processing your case".

It appears that the CSC has come to a halt in terms of processing Removal of Conditionals applications - I751.  Our NOA1 date is June 17th, 2016 - I thought we were getting so close but then saw the processing dates constantly get pushed back or stand still.  So frustrating!  My question is this: should my husband's Removal of Conditions not be approved prior to his current NOA1 expiration date that extended his Conditional Residency status by one year, what happens? His NOA1 expires on June 17th, 2017.  I would assume they would account for their processing woes and allow those who are still waiting for their 10 year Green Cards to remain fully legal.  We also talked to an officer at an InfoPass appointment prior to my husband traveling back to Turkey a couple months ago and she said should processing times on your 10 year Green Card lapse with when you're eligible to apply for citizenship, you can still apply for citizenship (this is for people who grew from a K1).

What a cluster!

What a cluster!

First of all, YES, this is frustrating! :bonk:

Second, keep in mind that the 1 year extension refers to the date on your hubby's green card, not one year after the NOA1 date. So if you applied near the beginning of your window, his extension adds 1 year to the date on his green card, which buys you a few months.

If they have still not processed his ROC before then, he needs to make an appointment at your local USCIS office for an I-551 stamp in his passport, which gives you another year extension.

Throughout the process, (unless your application is actually denied, which happens VERY rarely) your husband is fully legal.  His ROC is pending, but he is still a legal permanent resident until and unless USCIS tells him he isn't.  All you would be missing is the PROOF of that status (which, I admit, he will need if he wants to travel outside the States, or access certain government departments (DMV in some states etc)). However, the onus is on him to make the appointment and get the stamp - USCIS will not generate another extension letter.

Yes, he can still apply for citizenship at the 3 years of residency (as long as he fulfills the other conditions), whether or not he has actually been approved for ROC. The ROC will have to be approved before they process the N-400, but some people are applying with the intention of making USCIS adjudicate the I-751 so that they can get to work on naturalization! Who knows? It might even work!

Im stunned with how many people are getting calls "from USCIS". Don't you read the news? CNN reported this last week the scam about immigration calls called spoofying, just to gather peoples personal information with the purpose of identity fraud. The head of DHS himself gave an interview saying the scam is now in large scale, and USCIS DOES NOT CALL PEOPLE, unless you've requested a call. The scam called spoofying is able to change de Caller ID, so you actually read in your phone USCIS as the caller ID. We had a guy in this forum who even said the after answering all questions, the call didn't make any sense. Its because its a scam damn it. The chief of USCIS also reported that the scammers have been said to have strong accents. USCIS will not call you, especially on a weekend. June filers are starting to be approved now, we are at 27% by the end of May yall be approved, just before it makes 1 year, so just stop freaking out. Its a 10 to 11 month wait and that's it.

Chill out dude. Don't assume everyone's stupid here. People are CALLING USCIS and being told stuff, NOT the other way around. Read the posts before going nuts on everyone.

Thank you. FYI last week, I called USCIS on 06/07/2017 for status update as it was a year over the original I-751 received date. A tier-2 officer called back 4 hours later, but she couldn't provide any new information other than "Case received on 6/6/2016" and "we are still processing your case".

Quick question: you called them on April 7, right? Meaning over 10 months, not a year, correct? BTW congratulations on the approval!

My mistake. Looking back at call log, I called them on 4/18/17 after seeing their CSC processing time page had updated and stated they had processed cases up to 6/7/16, which was a day after my I-751 received date on 6/6/16.

So according to the USCIS processing times; they are processing June 7, 2016. Our's is dated June 2, 2016 but nothing yet.   Anyone else in this same situation?  We've called USCIS so many times and keep hearing same things..  But no movment on the approval.

It's pretty common. I am sure there are still many cases filed before 6/7/2016 have not been approved yet. Have you tried infopass?

I just called USCIS, trying to ask for the case status, for my surprise, since I'm the petitioner, they can't provide me any information, need to be the applicant who call them. anyway I ask the lady that we will be travelling out of the country coming back very soon of the extension expiration date, and she sent me to the infopass  and to get the stamp in the passport.

Other question that I have, GC issue date is 09/11/2014, when we can apply for the Citizenship? November or December 2017?
