Hi everyone I called my lawyer yesterday to ask abt case but she said no update yet as well as she said you will defenately get interview because u file as a waiver abuse on ur base means seperately. Is it true that in this type of case interview comes???

I don't know about your case specifically, but the wait is normal. VSC is still working on Feb - April filers. We are two months away.

Does anybody have experience filing for expedited processing? I have to leave on 15 month international research trip for my Ph.D. on June 1, which happens to be the one year anniversary of my wife's filing date to VSC. At the current rate we'll be extremely lucky if she gets approved before I leave. Not to mention having to wait an additional month for re-entry permit processing. I called customer service today and the representative suggested filing for expedited processing. My understanding is this has to meet certain extreme criteria. The only possible argument I could think of is the financial burden of having to maintain two households on a measly graduate research stipend. Should we even bother?

08/22/2017 (day 007): Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9/8/2017 

08/28/2017 (day 013): Early walk-in biometrics was completed

01/03/2018 (day 141): Interview appointment was scheduled for 2/6/2018

02/06/2018 (day 175): Interview was completed and the case was recommended for approval

02/12/2018 (day 181): Oath ceremony was scheduled for 3/15/2018

03/15/2018 (day 214): Oath ceremony was competed and I am an US citizen!

I may be wrong the way I think of customer care is they have given list of usually asked questions with answers. Whenever someone calls they refer to questions and answer you accordingly 😀

 They actually have no i idea what is going on with your case.

Ok, guys, the latest update of processing times is up now. It took them the entire month just to move a week's load. They are processing June 7th as of today, moving from 5/31 to 6/7/2016. So with this rate of one week a month, we are looking at 5 or 6 more months of wait. Really backed up, we won't get approved until this November or October, and I am talking about the August filers. For those of you who filed in June, your wait is almost over, maybe a month or two for you. Very very slow, we might as well just pretend we just filed yesterday,,sigh

I am a June 1 filler under Vermont service center, and they are working with cases of feb29 2016, its means still 3 more mnths. They taking too long
