HI, I read the thread daily too, We filed on June 06, and NOA date is June 13th, biometrics in July 7, still waiting, you can add us to the list.

Also we send a huge package of supporting evidences since we had couple of property together and an attorney friend of us told us that with all the documents provided should be easy, we will be 10 months tomorrow, and our major concern is that we will be travelling to Europe next month on the 12th. I'm planning to make an infopass around May 10th, to see what a live USCIS agent told us. Letter is valid until June 13th 2017, Green Card expiration date was 09/11/2016. Let's see

My green cards has the same expiration date as yours. Although I thought you can only file within 90 days before your green card expires, so I filed on June 14th 2016 to be safe. You shouldn't have any problem traveling cause the letter gives your green card 1 year extension to 09/11/2017. I have had more than 10 business trips out of US with that letter since my green card expired.

There is some confusion between the date on the letter and the date on the GC, some posts said the one year is from the date on the letter, some other said there is to the date on the green card, we Think that is for the date on the green card, problem is that we will be traveling until June 15th which is after one year from the date on the letter, also if GC is being produced in the time that we are traveling we are not sure if the immigration records when we come back at the airport shows that renewed green card was produced and we do not have it  on hands, this may cause a problem. There is a lot of back and forth in this stage of the renewal process, for that reason we think that is better to interact with a live USCIS agent. I had a card with all the questions that we have and the possible scenarios to ask in the infopass.

The first sentence on the letter states: "Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year." Also when I came back from my business trips, I got secondary check in CBP's little room for a couple of times. I specifically asked them this question, they told me one year extension to your green card expiration date. Anyway, good luck!

I read a post somewhere here recently (forget which forum, sorry) where someone said that (some) local USCIS offices were starting to acknowledge the confusion over the letter expiration date and were also giving stamps within 30 days of the 1-year anniversary of the letter. Even if that's the case, though, you probably can't find out whether your local office will do that until you show up at the Infopass. Worth a try? Please let us know how it turns out. Thanks!

At this point, first we will wait until the closer date of our trip, hoping the new card arrive before we leave. the other scenario is the infopass, which personally, I prefer to know on first hand from an officer, if they stamp the passport, perfect, if not at least we have  the opinion of out local USCIS office, and the infopass will be on record. I do not doubt what other people post here and in other forums, but I learned that with USCIS there is not 2 cases in the same procedures, every case is a particular case, and you need spent any possibility you have on hand.

Timeline

Called USCIS again today as it's been 31 days since my last call.  Was told the exact same thing as last time with the exception of the dates they considered "within normal processing times".  Those changed to reflect what was currently listed on their website (of course).  This time, however, I was told to contact California Service Center directly for more information.  Just an FYI, # 949-831-8550.  We are doing that later tonight. Not expecting anything, but willing to at least reach out to hopefully move this along!  End of next week will be 10-months since they received our case.  Ugh.

Luckily, we've had several June approvals so honestly it shouldn't be much longer, right?!?  LOL Let's hope that's the case!  :D

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!
