I hope to file our ROC by Friday or Saturday this week the latest. We have an appointment with our leasing office to add my name to the lease on Thursday noontime. They close at 5pm and neither my husband or I get home before that time. So our best bet is to take a long lunch and drive to the leasing/property management office to sign the lease with both of our names this time. Ugh this was the same reason we didn't bother adding my name in the first place after my husband first signed the lease, cause it's a big hassle!!

Adding your name to the lease is good. Don't forget to include documents that span the entire span of your relationship. In my case, the first 3 months before we were married and 4 months after we were married (Wife was a full time student in college and I couldn't work), stayed in my wife's mom's house so we didn't have a lease. I explained that in an attached letter and indicated that most of our evidence would start from when we got our first apartment which was in April, 2014.

Congratulations on the first step! Now the waiting begins :-).

Seems the ROC is much easier than the AOS. That had a ton of forms to fill out!

Hopefully we all slide through this without any RFE's. Good luck to us all!

I just included a notarized affidavit from my mom confirming that we indeed lived with her as husband and wife for the certain amount of time we did due to financial challenge at that time. Should that be enough or should we add another sheet for our own explanation?

I believe that's even better. It accomplishes two things in one document - An affidavit confirming the relationship plus an explanation of your living situation prior to getting your own place.

Also does anyone know how long it typically takes for USPS to update their tracking? I sent USPS Priority at about 8am this morning, no updates available yet when I put in the tracking, however I know it can sometimes take 24 hours.

U have to wait upon u receive a reciept for your ASC appointment notice, then u can find the status of your case online at www.uscis.gov.

For those of you including copies of actual credit cards that show the same account number, are you blacking out any part of the numbers? should i just leave the last 4 digits of our account numbers (that are the same) and black out the rest? i'm not quite sure how i feel about having all our account numbers available for practically anyone to see. thoughts?
