Well I guess all the "experts" who said that Elections wouldn't influence DHS, time to wake the hell up.

After Trump got elected, things slowed down, after he took office, they basically stopped everything but deportations (did you see the news today? If not, just check cnn.com), obviously waiting for new guidelines from the new boss.

To those who say that DHS will be independent, and they are obligated to follow the law, let me tell one thing: the new administration is not prone to follow constitutional principles, like we clearly stated with the travel ban (aka muslim ban).

Yes DHS can't completely forget about the legislation, but we all should be ready for a less "humane" approach from them. Sucks, but it is what it is. Its going to be tougher from now on and we better be ready.

I  am may 2nd 2016. They just processed mine. May month, they processed very slowly but there is hope. June Month is next up so worst comes to worst give it 3 months but should be way faster.  Another thing it looked like they started processing from end of May to beginning of may.

I don't believe at the first place that USCIS will be independent from any circumstance. They are a goverment's organization. Whenever something change in the goverment. It's will be interrupted for every departments one way or anothers.

Anyway, they should examine all petitions that filed before November 8th with the Rules and Laws before then. And examine all petitions that filed after then with the new administration's orders. I hope...

Why do you want to call? It's not gonna speed it up. Wait and if you're eligible submit N400.

There's been a bunch of movement (Although it seems to be mostly infill of apr and may filers) in the last few days. My personal theory is that there was a slowdown through late December and early January due to a crazy number of "winter storms" up and down the west coast, resulting in lots of flooding and landslides right near the CSC. Could be the offices have been closed or running with a skeleton crew. When you combine that with the fact that I-751 is "low priority" and would be the first type of petition to be put on the back burner, it could easily add up to the delays we're seeing.

Hope for sun!

So, if we have not received anything close to the date that our extension expires, what do we do? Do we need to reaply? USC sends us another extension automatically? Just wondering (I am a June filer)

No, you don't need to reapply... Our petitions are "low priority" and uscis is backed up. But if you're within one month of your letter expiring (i.e. one year after your green card expired) you have to make an appointment to go to a USCIS  office and get an I-551 stamp in your passport as proof of your legal status. They will not send another extension... it's on you to get the stamp.

Is your timeline updated?

Anyone check out the processing times over at USCIS?  They updated them yesterday for every service center, including both CSC and VSC (see note at bottom of page) and dated them "as of December 31, 2016" at the top of the list.  At first I was excited!! Then I began scrolling.....

They updated every single form for all centers, including VSC & CSC with current processing date of JULY 28, 2016?!?  FOR ALL!  Ugh...  Looks to me like quite the error....or was it intentional? <sigh> Seriously, just hope we hear something soon!
