Because this is government, not a private company. It's financed from public money and has a yearly budget planned ahead.

If a private company experiences increase of customers will hire more people to provide the best customer service to keep it's customers, the market is usually very competitive.

If a public office experiences backlog will not do anything: a) expenses are already planned, b) there is no competition. :)

You just hit the nail right on it's head. No competition = no motivation to improve processes.

still have not received the biometrics letter. hubby called last Monday and the rep gave the reason, 'some people do not need to do the biometrics'. sounds like another one of their lines to get you off the phone. still no letter. the rep opened a 'case' for him, but it could be weeks until they even address those. what to do, what to do. ha! nothing but wait for them, I guess. has anyone else not received their biometrics letter?

That's the thing -- it's not NOA2, it's a plain white paper with NOTICE OF DECISION, and the message saying 'Congratulations! Your Form I-751, Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence has been approved.' It has the proper letterhead and signature.

I still haven't gotten NOA2 or any emails alerts from the case status tracker.

I filed 6/21

That is quite interesting. It could be correct and not a mistake but not receiving the NOA2 is a concern as you need to do your biometrics prior to receiving the card. Have you called USCIS about your NOA2? I will advise giving them a call ASAP.

Yeah, I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm holding off on updating timelines until I'm absolutely sure it wasn't some mistake.

Oh my apologies for the mix-up. Too many forms to deal with in Immigration that I lost track lol.

Since you've already done your biometrics, this may be correct! If it is, that was super fast and a big congratulations to you!!!

Haha all good. I think you're right though, biometrics might be NOA2.

Just an update, I called the USCIS line and they didn't show anything in their system about this too (not surprised, they probably use the same tracker). The agent kindly forwarded me to Tier 2 and I'm expecting the callback in 3 hours or so.

Awesome. Would be really cool if they confirm this is indeed correct!

so i got a callback, and looks like it was indeed approved.

The Tier 2 rep said it should be forwarded to a supervisor to make sure everything is ok, and then they'll put the order (probably when my online status changes) and I should receive my PR card in the next 30-45 days. Home stretch! :energy:

We never got the biometrics. Husband called to inquire, back in the middle of August. Got a letter today, stating the biometrics letter was mailed on july 9th. the apt date was july 25th. well it was missed. they included a copy of the biometrics appointment letter with the inquiry resolution letter. but to reschedule, it says you have to check off a box on it and mail it to Alexandria, va. this is so frustrating. how do we know when the rescheduled appointment letter should arrive? bc this one says you cannot reschedule more than 87 days after your appointment date. uggggghhhhhhhh...... so now, our case waits even longer to get approved. tried to call uscis office, but did not realize it was already after 6pm. gonna have to try again tomorrow......

has this happened to anyone else? everyone else got their biometrics, yes?
