My earliest filling date was 06/06/2016. I mailed my package today,6/07/2016. I'm stressed, I checked everything multiple times but I'm nervous that I made a mistake or forgot about something.

Hi All!

I am preparing our package to submit hopefully sometime early next week. I am about to start compiling our photos and was wondering how many you guys have included in your package? I'm just not quite sure on how many photos i should include. Also, did you print it on actual photo paper or just computer print out (black & white or colored?) is fine?

Thanks!

I put 20 pictures, from boyfriend/girlfriend through wedding and reception to recent ones. On most of them, there are only us, we travel a lot and we like to take selfies. There are several family pictures too.

We also included about 20 photos. They were printed out at Costco and then mounted on paper with the date, location, and people in it. I used double-sided tape to mount them onto the paper. I used 1 photo from our wedding day, 1 from our honeymoon, and then various photos from trips, birthdays, dinners, etc. I made sure the photos were spaced out over time as well. I hope that helps.

We mailed our packet today, June 8th. Per tracking info, it should arrive at the VSC June 10th. My husband's green card expires June 20th. Does anyone know if he needs to take a break from work if we haven't received an extension letter by June 20th?

How did you all organize your files? My stack is about 4 inches thick already and that is not including everything yet. I am still waiting on a couple more documents to come plus I have not printed out our photos yet. I have read around here on VJ that USCIS does NOT recommend using ACCO file fasteners and folders. Is this true?

If so, can i just organize my documents by certain type and use a manila envelope for each and label them and put them all together with one big envelope? Not sure on what's the best way to go about this given that our stack of supporting evidence is already so thick!! Please help!

I had one stack of papers. Organized by importance (in my opinion). I stapled some, I paper clipped in groups (bank papers, car papers, health insurance papers, affidavits, greeting cards, etc.).

I didn't use envelopes. And I don't think it's a good idea.

The simplest the better. Minimum organization to help them separate and differentiate documents. That's it!

If I was reviewing somebody's package I would go nuts if I had to open all those envelopes.

Pictures were on a bottom in a plastic transparent envelope, I didn't want them to fly around.

Did you put your stack all in one big folder to hold it all together?

No, I didn't. I couldn't find anything big enough. I took the papers to post office and they put it in a right sized envelope, the priority mail express envelope.

I edited my previous post. I put pictures on a bottom, in a plastic, transparent envelope, so they don't fly around.

I used fasteners and divided our documents in three main sections. Used color tabs for sub divisions.

hey there! i remember you from AOS July filers thread 2 years back! Crazy how time flies, right? Good to see you around here again! Good luck!

For our evidences, i have included everything that we have from the past 2 years of our marriage such as lease agreements, bank statements (joint and checking), utility bills, 401k and life insurance beneficiaries, joint Costco membership, copy of credit cards with same account numbers (my husband is an authorized user) and their statements from when i added him, joint tax returns for 2014 and 2015, tax transcripts for 2014 & 2015 (which i am still waiting for in the mail), our travel itineraries to my home country and other international travel, hotel/airbnb receipts listing both of our names as guests, photos with friends and family spanning our entire relationship (this i still need to work on, so many photos to go through!), mail written to both of us under the same address, cards written to each other, a notarized letter from my mother confirming we lived with her as husband and wife for a few months and a notarized letter from one of our friends confirming our marriage is legitimate.

Phew! That's all we have for now. I may be adding receipts of our joint purchases for our place such as furniture but not quite sure if that will be relevant that much.

Good luck to us again!!! :)
