It depends on where you live. N-400s are adjudicated at your local USCIS office, and some local offices are faster than others. Do a google search for USCIS processing times and use the drop down menu to find the closest office to where you live. Then look at the table that pops up and it will give you a general idea of how long you might wait.

It's okay, but what happens to your 751 isn't clear. At an info pass I was told filing N400  would not affect i751. But when I filed a service request for my 715 in October (since most people had heard who filed in June 2016), I got an answer back that says "Our records indicate that you have an i751 and N400 pending. They will be adjudicated at the same time." So just FYI.

No not yet.. my lawyer sent a online case inquiry..  USCIS responded that they will give answer by 14 January

Update on my situation. I had filed my N400 the day I was eligible (90 days before 3 year anniversary of Marriage Based GC). They ended up doing both i-751 and N400 interview today. Passed both. Will create a post on interview experience to help others. Now waiting for Oath Ceremony letter.

 Congratulations!! I've been reading some threads too that they did file their N400 even though they haven't gotten their 10 years green card yet.  I'm glad that it's all working for most of the filers.  How long did you wait before they sent you a letter for interview for the N400?

Approved Jan 2nd. After RFE delivered November 22nd. The card in hand an 9th(new design). CSC. NOA June29th,2016

Filed N400 in May. My local field office is showing 1 year delay in processing for N400. But Interview was Scheduled in mid November for Jan 23rd. From date of Filing it took me about 8 Months and 2 weeks to get the interview and clear it.

 

My intention was to get the citizenship. Never wanted to spend any un necessary time on 10 year green card. Keeping that in mind I think this was quicker vs clearing I751 and then applying for N400 and wait another 8 months to a year for that.

So 8 months and 2 weeks just for N400 alone? So it means you filed ROC on June 2016 and filed N400 on May 2017?
