Finally approved! CSC, NOA1 6/17/2016, Approved 8/9/2017.

I have been tracking CRI-89 cases with receipt number like WAC161865XXXX recently, hope this information helps a little:

N-400 Timeline San Francisco field office (Marriage with an US citizen and 3 year of LPR):

08/15/2017 (day 000): N-400 application was filed online on ELIS

08/22/2017 (day 007): Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9/8/2017 

08/28/2017 (day 013): Early walk-in biometrics was completed

01/03/2018 (day 141): Interview appointment was scheduled for 2/6/2018

02/06/2018 (day 175): Interview was completed and the case was recommended for approval

02/12/2018 (day 181): Oath ceremony was scheduled for 3/15/2018

03/15/2018 (day 214): Oath ceremony was competed and I am an US citizen!

I called USCIS today to ask about applying for N400 while my I751 is still pending. The officer was very patient and he tried to answer all my question. The only thing that he said that I didn't already know was that while I'll be waiting for my N400 to be approved, I'll also will be receiving my GC if it gets adjudicated before N400!

 

Is that correct? I am an August  I751 filer. If I apply for N400 today and my ROC get approved in 3 months, will I still be receiving a GC?! 

 

I can't believe this cuz based on what we I've found on VJ, they combine the two applications and we need go get infopass stamp on our passports? What am I missing?

This is partially correct. What we have seen is if they do a joint I-751/N400 interview, then they don't give you a 10yr card. You go to oath ceremony without a 10 yr card. If I-751 is approved by the service center while your N400 processing still going on, then you get the 10 yr card. This is what happened to me. I applied for N400 while my I-751 was pending, I-751 was later approved by VSC and I had my 10 yr card in hand when I had the N400 interview (it came a week before the N400 biometrics to be exact).

 

My theory for the combined case is service center approves I-751 but they never issue a card production since they know the applicant would be naturalized soon anyways. Oh I should also note, if I-751 is approved but for whatever reason N-400 is denied, then they would have to issue you a 10 yr card in that scenario.

Hi, congrats to all of you June filers who were approved. One question if you can help out. Please share here if you got 751 approved after you filed 400. Anyone? Thanks. Appreciate it, just want to know how much the likelyhood is for USCIS to combine 400 and pending 751 as there are a good number of August filers(myself included) who have filed 400 while 751 applications are obviously pending. Thanks a lot if you can share and especially if you are a CSC filer.

I just filed my 400 yesterday, and my 751 is still pending like you. My 751 NOA date is 8/8/2016. If you get your 751 approved before the 400, yes, you will get your 10 year green card, but i have heard if they combine the two and handle your case during the 400 interview or possible joint 400 and 751 interview, you will just be approved and you might not get your 10 year green card. My goal is the citizenship, so it really doesn't matter to me except getting a 751 approval means one uncertainly off my mind. Good luck to you. CSC is so slow, maybe they will pick up speed soon.

Went for my extension appointment today @ the Downtown LA office.  Was in and out of the building in 15-20 minutes with no issues.  They kept my expired GC but stamped my passport. 

 

If only the I-751 process was as efficient.....

Guys just got an update! My card just got produced august 9,2017.

 My noa was 6/20/16. I did requested for a change of address last week so im assuming that prompted them to look at my case. Good luck everyone!

Today I landed at JFK with my infopass. There was no problem with passport check, they just made me go to "special room" to get another stamp in my passport.

i went for my infopass appointment today at the Dallas field office...............i wish all government offices were this quick, was in and out in 11mins and 56sec (i actually had a timer set as i walked in), met the nicest officer too...

 

well got the stamp, that's ok for now, waiting the wonderful news.
