OK new question.  Employer is fine now that I have showed them the info on the USCIS site.  However, we are in the process of buying a house.  For the loan are we still good?  Little info. We are still pending for the I-751. We are June 24th filers.  No movement at all on the case.  His one year Ext is expired.  We have an info pass appointment on Thursday in hopes of getting the stamp showing an ext, but is that enough for our home loan?

the stamp proves he is a permanent resident the loan company can not chose whuch type of proof of residency they accept. they must accept all legal forms of proof of residency. you may need to print out the uscis documents showing what he has is the same thing as a green card.

Does anyone know the best time to find a infopass date?

Everytime I go to the website there are no dates available!

Thanks in advance

Csc does not process n400. You send the application to the lockbox, they route it to NBC and from there it's gonna go to ur local field office for the interview when it's ready to be scheduled.

Since N-400 applications are adjudicated by local field offices, check the VJ timelines data here:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=&op5=5,10,11

From the drop-down box in the bottom right of the screen (on a laptop, anyway), select your local CIS office (field office) and click "Find." It'll give you an idea of what VJ members have reported recently for your region.

Agree with Sarah86 but also bear in mind that depending on where you live you can visit pretty much any USCIS office to do this.

I live in Miami Beach and I can easily go to 5 USCIS offices within an hours drive which is useful. Big metro areas probably have several so it's worth checking this.

I actually made my appointment when I was up visiting friends in Washington DC and managed to get an appointment whilst I was in town.

So it's also worth hunting around other field offices in the area.

Remember, immigration is Federal, so you technically aren't restricted to any local or state USCIS offices for infopass appointments.

⬇️ Immigration/Visa experience ⬇️

ESTA

ESTA revoked

H1B for 2 years

B2 - Denied

B2 - Successful

AoS

Green Card

Green Card ROC

Naturalization

(AoS & GC via same sex marriage if it helps)

So plenty experience to draw on to help you all out on......

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those who have their card in hand.  Good luck to everyone else.

I have read several times that when your extension letter expires you should go to make an infopass appointment and get your passport stamped to keep your status.  I have also read in this thread that your status remains until they make a decision on your case.

So, my situation is that I will not be traveling in the next year and therefore do not need to re-enter the country.  Am I correct in thinking that my status remains unchanged - despite the letter expiring - and that unless I need to travel I don't actually need to get the new stamp in my passport?  Once the I751 decision is made I plan on doing the N400 process a few years in the future.

Please can one of you wonderful people confirm that my understanding is correct?  Maybe I am not alone in being someone who is in this process and not traveling.

Kindest regards

OK, I've just received three text messages from 505-969-6695.  They all say the same thing:

Your case WAC16186503** is now updated.  Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov - Message and data rates may apply.

My status now says "New card is being produced" On August 1, 2017, we ordered your new card for receipt Number WAC16186503**, and will mail it to the address you gave us.  If you move, blah blah blah.

Happy friggin days!  I just called my wife and gave her the good news and that we won't being being harassed for more paperwork or interviewed.  What a relief!

Today is the day the extension letter runs out too!  Weird coincidence!

I've been very quiet on here for a long time but I have read every post in this long long thread and everyone here has been very supportive.  I want to thank you all for sharing your problems, solutions, cares, woes and frustrations in ways I have been unable.  I sincerely wish you all the very best for this process and the future.
