Congratulations! I wonder why some folks get an approval letter before the New Card being produced case status and others only get the card production status. I never received an approval letter just a status change to card in production.

Guys, I just got approved. Received approval letter today in the mail, but case status online still haven't changed. I send my rfe June 24th and then uscis Vermont receive it on June 26. Date of decision was July 5. Noa 6/28/2016, thank god after all the waiting and stress from rfe now I'm approved. I wish and pray all of you guys next 😊

Hey J&E2013, congrats!!

 

Do you mind sharing the first few digits of your case number? For example, EAC16186xxxx.

 

The reason why I am asking is that I think that is the number that determines the order by which they work on cases.

 

Even though, this number means nothing, from a privacy standpoint,without the combination of all your information, I'd completely understand if you are not comfortable to share it.

Card Was Mailed To Me

On July 10, 2017, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number WAC1618150397, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by August 9, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

 

Just received the update above in an email and a series of text messages about 3 minutes ago. Looks like they mail out the cards 2 business days after they begin card production. This is consistent with what I have seen from other filers with approved cases. Unlike AOS where there was a tracking #, this has no tracking # attached.

 

Good luck to everyone still waiting especially CSC filers..I know exactly how you feel after waiting for 1 year 27 days. If you're over the 1 year mark, rest assured your case is most likely being reviewed and will be approved before the end of the 13th month.

No I didn't. 

I don't have an immediate plan to apply for citizenship yet.

Still deliberating if I should apply soon or wait for a couple of years.

I want to apply before the next federal election though as I definitely want to vote...so perhaps that will push me to do it soon.
