In all the months I have been looking, mostly out of interest before I needed one, there usually only seemed to be appointments 14 days out, with the odd one or two on other days but very rarely. I was just lucky more than anything else. 

I guess is why it's worth checking often as cancellations creep in to the system. 

 

One point to note - big signs up in the D.C. field office stating the office DOES NOT ACCEPT WALK-INS under any circumstances.

Don't know about other field offices.

Our NOA1 was 6/9/2016

 

I hope the rest of us also get approved soon. It's been a long ride!

Thanks teknodude, yeah you been lucky. But anyway my gc will expire on 9/19 so I still have some time to wait if I will be lucky too to hear from VSC of any approval before 1 yr gc expires. Hoping and praying, I don't know either but I think it's better to get infopass than going to field office and find out that they don't accept walk-ins especially if you drive like hours 😄. Sorry if my English is not that good lol I'm filipina :D

My ROC is still pending too and I just filed N-400 on Monday. May as well get ourselves in line. Worst that can happen is they approve concurrently and that's no big deal. An attorney recommended going ahead and filing.

New Card Is Being Produced

On July 6, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC1618150397, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

 

FINALLY I just received a case status update email that my card is being produced as of July 6th and will be mailed to the address I have on file.

 

Took 1 year and 27 days. Hate to say this but I wasn't really excited like I was when I received the conditional green card. My mood this time around was  '..whatever'. I guess the long delay squeezed out all the joy in me lol. Glad to know though I don't have to keep checking the status of this process any longer.

 

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on their cards. I will update once I receive my card. 

 

And just so you know, I didn't receive any text messages. Just an email with the status update.

 

(Moderator's I intentionally did not mask my case information as it's pointless to mask it anyway. It's already information publicly available on the USCIS site and nobody can do anything with it unless they have a combination of my other information such as address, full name, DOB etc. I just figured it will help folks to get an idea on the progress of their cases relative to mine).

Hello,

June filer here, VCS.

NOA date - 6/23/16, got approval letter on 6/19/17 from NYC office, but still did not receive my 10 year card, and status online never changed either. I filed N-400 on 6/27/17 online, biometrics appointment is scheduled for 7/18/17.

Was anyone waiting for their card for so long after the approval letter? Thank you!

Hi everyone! I am here new, I have pending year, my NOA1 06/08/2016, but documents we filed on 04/12/2016, green card expired  06/06/2016. So my situation not good because, I flew to Russia in April and could not back untill expired letter, now I am in trouble situation and hope will get green cards soon!

Our number is also WAC161815XXXX, so they must be approving things in batches.

Dear my friend,

Your filled in Vermont Service Center ( June filters I-751 ).

Why did you get the approval letter from NYC. Is that your local USCIS office?

My I-751 case is May 19 in Vermont too. I submitted my N-400 in June and Biometrics was done in June 21. But I went to Philadelphia local office today and I have not known any new updates yet. Just waiting I-751 for approving if not N-400 could not move to process as background check. It's long trip I guess.  You should walk in or make an appointment with NYC in person. Have good day!

My I-751 case is May 19 in Vermont too. I submitted my N-400 in June and Biometrics was done in June 21. But I went to Philadelphia local office today and I have not known any new updates yet. Just waiting I-751 for approving if not N-400 could not move to process as background check. It's long trip I guess.  You should walk in or make an appointment with NYC in person. Have good day!

Yes, NYC is my local office, and approval letter came from there, instead of VSC. But still no card in hand or online status update for I-751.
