Your response from CSC confirms one of these guidelines for USCIS adjudication, for CSC filers, we might have to wait until our N400 interview..

2. Spouses with Pending Petitions and Naturalization Applications

An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions. If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application. [6]

That's right. And I've heard the N400 has been taking a year itself too :(

Heads up to those who are filing N400 before i751, this MIGHT become the case for you too:

I made an inquiry with my senators office. I just heard back today. Here's the message she received from CSC

"The petition has been reviewed by an adjudication officer and, unfortunately, was not able to be immediately approved.  Since your constituent has recently filed an application for citizenship, her A-file was forwarded to the National Benefits Center in Missouri on June 29, 2017.  The I-751 petition and the N-400 will be combined into the same A-file; any and all impediments to the completion of the I-751 will be resolved with the local USCIS Field Office along with the processing of the N-400.  The combining of the two Forms is a common occurrence when the applicant has both an I-751 petition and an N-400 application pending and the I-751 cannot be immediately approved upon first review by an adjudication officer."

Is this what happens to those who get an RFE? I wonder how much longer this will take now that I have to wait for N400...

ugh! I think this is happening to me as well.  I've seen recent N400 going as fast as 3-4 months from file to oath. So hopefully it happens fast for us.

That means we will just have to wait until our 400 interview and this might force CSC filers to apply for 400 ASAP if CSC continues to stall the process

Not a movement at all, just my wishful thinking, I think the majority of CSC filers will probably have to wait till 400 interview to get both pending cases processed...i think CSC has stopped processing 751 for some strange reason

In all seriousness, (you know this because we talked, but for others benefit),  I called USCIS today just to say - yo, what's up what's happening because my case is June 22 and it's now June 30.

their response was - we are processing June 9 cases right now so don't call us again until your date is outside that date that the USCIS is showing for processing.

So basically - don't waste ur time until after your date is showing on the website.

Pah. 🤣

Calling USCIS to track your pending case is a waste of time

I kind of knew that,  I just like to make a record that applicants aren't happy about the processing time. Maybe if we all call on a regular basis, some office intern who monitors incoming calls may register that there are lots of annoyed people out there......

so let's all call. 10 times a day. Annoy them. Make them sit up take notice!?!? (Not a mostly serious suggestion - but could be fun tho?!)

Did you already apply for N400 too? Yeah some people are getting their naturalization interview literally 2 months after applying. But I applied for my N400 2 months ago and haven't gotten an interview yet. I hope it doesn't end up taking a year like i751.
