You are correct. It won't hurt me to give them a call. Thank you so much.

The way I manage the stress is to work out and walk. Also watching good TV shows helps too. We just finished bin watching the new season of Orange is the New Black in 3 days. I will probably contact Kemela Harris if I don't hear anything from USCIS by October. We will file the 400 by 7/31. At least we will get 400 rolling. Been waiting for 10 months and 12 days, maybe it is not so bad to wait for another freaking 10 months. Hopefully we will all hear from them soon.

Is a good idea!! I plan to start N400 at the end of the year. If the worst comes to worst, and N400 interview comes up and I751 hasn't, both will probably be adjudicated on the same day!! Aha. I've been out the country a fair bit the last few months, so I need to start my continuous residency fairly soon.

CSC: Status update: "On June 13, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

This was after sending an e-notice service request, after one year had lapsed, that our case was outside normally processing times as of June 6. Literally just received a email response from USCIS stating: "Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days." followed by a case update within 5 minutes stating: "On June 13, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

Pays to complain I guess. If you've been waiting a year or longer, I suggest calling or using the e-notice service request to communicate your case is outside normal processing times.

Is it possible to apply for N400 while waiting for pending I751?

Yes, absolutely. Tons of references to it in this thread. If N400 comes up first, they pull your I751, adjudicate that, and assuming approval, then move onto your N400, often in the same day. Fairly unusual, but lots of references to it online if you search.

The important bit is the rules for N400 application. If you satisfy all requirements, you may apply. There is no requirement to hold an unconditional I551.

Hi, I was new and just joined on this site but I've been reading the comments here whenever I need some idea or help for my immigration process. It's so stressful, especially I got rfe last week about my ROC asking for more evidence. Btw I'm June 28, 2016 filer under VSC - NOA1 7/23/2016 - Biometrics 8/12/2016. I received an RFE June 2 and until now we still preparing for additional evidence that we have evntho we think that we send everything when we file. It's so frustrating and disappointing after waiting for almost a year and this is all we get - rfe

Here's the link and information for those application were already out of normal processing. I would rather do this instead of calling the USCIS customer service:

Outside Normal Processing Time

Do you have a case pending with USCIS that is outside the normal processing time? USCIS usually processes cases in the order we receive them. You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the processing time table available on our website. For most applications, you can send us an inquiry if your case has been pending longer than the processing time posted on our website.

If you are a DACA renewal applicant please contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center at (1-800) 375-5283 to inquire on a case pending longer than 105 days.

NOTE: We are actively processing your case if, in the past 60 days, you:

  • Received a notice from us about your case,
  • Responded to a request for evidence, OR
  • Received an online update to your case status.

If your application type is not listed in the processing time table on our website, our goal is to make a decision on your application within 6 months of filing. Please wait six months before submitting an inquiry

Glad to see youre finally coming to your senses. Took you a lot of harsh words and insults just to realize the obvious: were not enemies here (at least that's what I believe) and despite any political beliefs we're all in the same boat (assuming your the applicant/immigrant - which Im not sure it's your case) and some measure of decency and respect from the almighty government would not, by any means, indicate "entitlement" or any other thing of sorts, even to us poor unwelcomed and relegated "guests". So dude next time you address other peoples posts here do it with respect and courtesy and please keep in your mind that your opinions and points of view are not mighty untouchable and immutable truths just because you say so.

Who did I insult?

I do talk straight, but none of it is untrue. Just because you don't like hearing some tough facts about the process.

I am in the same boat. I am pending my I751. I don't have a right to enter the USA, I also don't feel I'm entitled to a unconditional I551 unless I prove to the USA I am a worthy candidate, hence all the hoops we all jump through to attain it.

Ive never said my beliefs are untouchable, so don't make things up. I ask people to challenge my points, because I enjoy lively debate about the process. I don't always get it right. But I prefer you to challenge the arguments, not me. That is how you should debate.

And if I have ever crossed a line, I always apologise. Like I said, I get it wrong sometimes.

unconditional I551 is not about candidacy or privilege, as long as you fulfill all the requirements, you will get it. It's just a matter of time. Why do you say you don't have a right to enter USA? Even with pending I751, you are still a permanent resident, you have every right to enter USA.

You might be right on that sorry. I was dealing with something to do with N400, and got confused. You do have the right to be admitted. I guess the risk is they can always take a I551 off you, if you commit a felony for example. So my lawyer said to me it's always worth naturalising. If I can ever find the time to do it. Thanks for your correction 👍🏻👍🏻
