Like I said, calling congressman may or may not work, but it does not harm anything to do so even though it may be a waste of time, but sometimes, you will never know until you try. Since USCIS has all the power and we don't, obviously people will try anything even though it might be a way to make themselves feel better during this long and frustrating process, but I think most people here are realistic, but like I said, humans are creature of feelings, it is important to be realistic, but it is also important to have stress management. I have personally conceded I am going to wait for a long long time...i do agree, you have a right to come here to voice your opinions, I agree.

Yes each to their own stress management. Some here may feel better about calling their congressperson.

My stress management technique - a large vodka martini (shaken, with 2 olives) and a good old fashioned moan about it with my friends in the local dive bar.

Probably achieves about the same - aha. Im

trying to be relax about the process as much as I can.

But like you say Zombie69, we won't know until we try.

Hence my question as to whether anyone is aware of anyone who has had direct success using this route - it would be super interesting to hear about it, give us some hope!

Csc filer

Today I called Uscis and I talked to 2 tir officer. She said my case dint even assign to any officer. It has been over year and my case was not touched. She said call us end of the July if I dnt hear anything. Either Csc immigration officers are working so slow or chilling. I mentioned to her that since march it's only changed the 2 days in processing time. She said she can't do anything.

The way I manage the stress is to work out and walk. Also watching good TV shows helps too. We just finished bin watching the new season of Orange is the New Black in 3 days. I will probably contact Kemela Harris if I don't hear anything from USCIS by October. We will file the 400 by 7/31. At least we will get 400 rolling. Been waiting for 10 months and 12 days, maybe it is not so bad to wait for another freaking 10 months. Hopefully we will all hear from them soon.

how do you calculate your GC expiration date? calculating from extension letter or from expired GC?

My lawyer said she would go by the NOA date, I recently talked to an USCIS agent on the phone, she also told me the same thing. There have been conflicting reports though.

Maybe, just maybe they will start processing applicants who have been waiting for almost a year? Maybe that is a possibility..

Today is the 1 year anniversary for my I-751 application, called USCIS and hoped to get a congratulations :-p. A tier 2 officer told me my case was assigned to an officer on 5/9/2017 and probably waiting to be adjudicated, I should hear something by the end of July.

We are all entitled to an opinion about the process, and I would also add that I think immigration is very much a political issue.

Anyway the poster has a point. We are all frustrated at the lengthy process, so we should focus on helping users who have particular issues with extension and travel etc rather than the politics behind it.

(For the record, I'm not a republican 😝)

Glad to see youre finally coming to your senses. Took you a lot of harsh words and insults just to realize the obvious: were not enemies here (at least that's what I believe) and despite any political beliefs we're all in the same boat (assuming your the applicant/immigrant - which Im not sure it's your case) and some measure of decency and respect from the almighty government would not, by any means, indicate "entitlement" or any other thing of sorts, even to us poor unwelcomed and relegated "guests". So dude next time you address other peoples posts here do it with respect and courtesy and please keep in your mind that your opinions and points of view are not mighty untouchable and immutable truths just because you say so.

"Entitlement", nothing has to stop here, and this is really a code word for a Republican anyway, please take your political beliefs and "political correctness" nonsense somewhere else. People just want to get there 10 year green card and Don't we fit the "getting in line like anybody else" right wing style talking point to your liking? The political innuendo has to stop here. This is not a political forum.

Hey I immediately started to like you Zombie LOL

Don't know about you guys, but my sense of entitlement comes from the fact that I paid a decent amount of money to remove my conditions, on top of what was paid before for CR-1. When you pay money you expect service - good service.

I hear you, but unfortunately. USCIS isn't like a normal business, it is a large entity of bureaucracy that is inefficiently run, we don't have much power to control it or have any say. We just need to keep waiting and be patient. If it takes too long, then contact your senator and congressman for help, even that is not guaranteed, but i am hopeful, eventually, we will all be approved, it is just a matter of how long, but the uncertainty of how long it is going to take is the toughest part for us.
