Csc is far away as compared to vsc

I have noticed that Eks1022 - I wonder if that is the "VSC need to catch up excuse" or the CSC is on some staff shortage no resource to work on it and I 751 is lowest priority so whatever - excuse. Who knows.......  I don't think anyone does. Hey ho.

Thank you. I've setup email and phone notifications on the uscis website for my case but it did not send anything nor the case updated online. Nothing yet, just letter in the mail so there is hope.

Thanks Togovi, That's actually a really good informed and helpful post for us all, a reminder not to rely on the email and text notification.

When you got your letter, had your status updated online already?

I'm trying to use my (blond) brain to see if any pattern whether status updates after letters sent, or the same day, or just random.

Thanks again for the very useful input and congrats on your status change!

Exactly 1 year today from the receipt of my i751 at CSC.

NOA1 - June 10, 2016.

Looks like we're in for a long ride. Congratulations to everyone that got an approval and Good luck to all of us waiting.

Hopefully CSC keeps their game up because this drastic slowdown is ridiculously unbelievable.

You cannot imagine how frustrated I was when a friend of mine who submitted I751 only 2 weeks earlier than me was approved in November. Her process took 6 months, mine 12 months.

We have the same NOA1 date as you and ... are still in limbo. We too have a friend who filed just before us and they got theirs in 6 months. Something is amiss...

That said, we are happy for your good fortune. Congratulations!

I got approved on Wednesday.

I was glad to see you approved, if slightly selfishly because we both seem to be Twin Cities residents with the same NOA at CSC :D

That is unfair and frustrating, but I guess there is not much we can do.

I just contacted the congressman representing my district and waiting for a response. Hopefully I will get some answers about this damn long waiting.

If any of you would like to do the same, here are the steps:

1. go to website: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/,  enter your zip code and find your congressman

2. Click the name and go to the personal page

3. Click "How can I help"

4. Click immigration

5. Download the Immigration Privacy Release Form, fill out the form and fax to the district office.

Your congressman's personal page might be a little different, but shouldn't be too hard to find.

Great post!  I have had much better luck, however, contacting our senators vs house representatives in the past. I'm in Michigan and yes, this varies as well but if you do not hear anything from your member of the house, reach out to your senators at http://www.senate.gov/states/  For Michigan, once your senator is located, click on Agency Assistance and complete the form on the lower section of the page. There was a drop down menu to select what assistance was needed.  Not sure if they are all set up the same :-)  Just did this and it was super easy.

<<fingers crossed>> CSC gets moving soon!

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!

I just contacted all 3 of my representatives online and left electronic requests for assistance. I then snail-mailed physical letters/copies of my request as I once heard this has a bigger impact. We'll see if it has any effect.

This was a relatively easy process, especially for people who are used to the USCIS bureaucracy. Thanks to all who recommended it.
