I agree. Because we paid the same amount, both service centers should be the same. I know we can get the stamp but its a lot of hassle on our part. We just applied for a mortgage so hopefully before closing I get my greencard. Its a pain!

I am same like you I am in process to get loan but lender doesn't know about stamp and it's really hard to convince them. I thought I will get my card in year now it is over the year. Csc is very slow I am now expecting my card in august .

Did you got pre approved on your loan already? We already have, I handed them the letter and told them I will get a stamp too if they wanted to. So far we got got approved and on way of closing the deal this August. I might havw to also ask a letter from my Lawyer just in case. But still its soo frustrating. When is ur noa? Mines june 20

Mine noa is 13 th June and I applied but still far away from closing because they asked so many times about my status and I gave them my noa and stamp too but they are still verifying. They said they dnt know about the stamp

I totally understand. Were gonna have our closing soon. :( im excited but at the same time. They have not asked me anything about it although I explained it to the loan officer already and she said it should be fine. But still theres that uncertainty. Arrrghhh

Yes I got pre approved long time back that time they dnt ask my status now they are asking

My wife and I are going through the same thing. We also got our 'pre-approval' certificate from the mortgage company but they then asked for proof that my wife was a permanent resident (We got our NOA1 on 6/13/16 but like a lot of people have not been approved). Since we are still more than 60 days from our 1-year extension expiration, we can't get the passport stamp. I submitted a photocopy of the expired GC as well as the extension letter. That was only 2 days ago so I'm not sure if that satisfied the loan underwriters.

In a way, you can't blame the mortgage company for being cautious. People don't like to dwell on it, but your I-751 could be denied. And this is why this delay is more than an inconvenience - it places significant uncertainty in our lives.

And before the USCIS Kool-Aid drinkers on this board start mocking me for being an alarmist, I'm just relaying MY experience.  We nearly missed an airline connection due to the expired GC. We are being questioned about it during a real estate transaction. ICE agents are detaining people in my community with expired GCs. If your experience is superior, I'm happy for you and hope your luck continues to hold.

Nice to know Togovi. But still its driving me crazy.

Yeah jimmy, some people its easy for them to say to calm down but when you are in that situation yourself, you know how frustrating it gets. We have been doing it the right way to get legal but they say ours its just of low priority to USCIS well I think any cases thats done the right way should be deemed of high importance because we paid for it! Its bullshit! I am happy for everyone that were already approved but does not make sense how fckin CSC has not been processing any more these days. Im so tired of this waiting game.

Thanks Vic! Hopefully it goes well for all of us! They should get their together because its peoples lives theyve put on hold! People with family, kids and goals. 😡😡

I am glad you  were able to close your house without any problem  my extension letter is expired now it's hard to explain lender.even though I gave them my stamp copy but they are still not satisfied with my status documents. Which makes me so stressful.

I have a quick question about someone who is typing up their affidavit for someone filing an I-751 form.

They are saying that they need the date of birth, address and place of birth for the person they are typing up the affidavit about.

I had not heard this before, and only thought that the affiant included their own info on the affidavit. Considering the fact that the affidavit is about their knowledge of the couple and proof of who they are.

can anyone confirm either way?
