I know they're very busy in this period and they have to deal with so many changes and I understand is hard for them, but having hard time resolving something online, makes things harder for everybody. For example: if i can cancel my appointment online, someone else could take that hour that i just cancelled , or the employee can focus on something else in that time, or, why not, they can have a 10 minutes break.  It will be a constructive time for everybody.  

Did you try to call to cancel it? I don't know if you can do it but I would try it.

Hi Everyone!

 

Happy Tuesday!  We just got a text message at 1:30 PM PDT stating that our case has been updated.

 

When we looked online, we found, 

New Card Is Being Produced

Congrats to all approved.  I've called uscis. They couldn't cancel the appointment, but the guy I spoke with says that if you miss an infopass it will not affect in any ways your pending process, but also he recommends me to go at my appointment, because my extension letter expires on june 7, so i need the stamp. 

He was verry nice and helpful.

Please clarify whether you filed at CSC or VSC, the date you filed your I-751 and your NOA1 date.

Good luck there! I called 5 times to cancel mine but because I didn't have the PIN (which only pops up when you make the appointment - if you don't write it down, you can't get it again) I couldn't cancel it. I talked to tier 2 and they kept transferring me. I finally gave up. I feel bad that I wasted someone's time, but I couldn't get anyone to help me.

I'm tempted to schedule an Infopass appointment just to get a status update from an USCIS officer in person.

Yes, ours is June 6th so I filled out the 'out of normal processing time' form 3 weeks ago. When I submitted the form, I got a pop-up that said we would get a response by May 20th. Still waiting! Also, flew in from Germany last month into Chicago and asked the custom agent there whether the expiration date for re-entry is the NOA date (june 6, 2017) or the green card date (august 2017). He said everyone interprets it differently so to be safe, use the earlier date and get an InfoPass before you travel out of the country again. I will post if I get any response by the 20th. I am guessing that even if I do get a response, it will say 'we are still working on it'. Good luck, everyone!

Hello! My husband submitted his I-751 on June 16th, 2016. He has completed all the biometrics, etc and we are just waiting for the decision. The thing is, we are supposed to have a decision by June 15th (next month)....we called USCIS 3 times. First, we were told his would be completed in 3 weeks...this was back in March. Then, we called and they told us they were still on June 6th cases. I called again last week and they were still on June 6th cases and I was told they get updated once a month (supposedly this month on the 18th). I asked them what we should do is my husbands decision isn't ready by June 15th...she of course says to call back later this month and says that he might need to go to the  local USCIS office to extend his extension that he already has...however she didn't specify WHEN we should do that...I am starting to get worried and am unsure about what to do! Any suggestions? Anyone else's case taking over a year? Are they just backlogged?

Hi folks, I found a really nice case tracker & searcher app for iphone. You can search other cases that has the similar case number as yours. If you don't know how to read your case number, read this link first: http://www.visajourney.com/content/uscis-receipt-number

 

For example: if your case number is WAC1618050100, you can search all the cases with number like WAC161805XXXX. The search result will give you the case status and case type. Then you will be able to tell how many CRI-89 cases have been approved that were received on the same day by USCIS. 

 

I searched for my case and I found about 1200  cases were received by USCIS on the same day and about 300 (25%) were CRI-89, and only 1 case has been approved! Now I can feel how backlogged they are on CRI-89!

Hey guys, I just came back from my infopass in San Francisco office today, wanna share some updates with y'all:

 

1. CSC received my case on 6/17/2016 and they started reviewing the case on 5/9/2017. I should heard something in 30 days.

2. My extension letter will expire on 6/17/2017, but the officer didn't stamp my passport. Instead, he gave me a visit note with a stamp on it which specifically says 1 year extension to my green card expiration date. If I still don't heard anything 1 month before the green card extended expiration date which is 9/11/2017, I need to go back again to get my passport stamped.

I went an got a stamp on my passport on Monday as I am travelling back to Ireland now in 2 weeks.

The lady stamped it for 6 months as I should have the new green card before then lol

 

It was actually very easy and quick, didn't take long at all. I just made an info pass apt online  

 

The lady at the office was saying once there is an election everything goes to lol. long waiting times for all applications right now.

We have same NOA date (06/17/2016). I will be going for Infopass/passport stamp on Tuesday(23-May)to SFO office. Did you go to the same office  (Washington street)? We will be travelling from mid-June so definitely need this stamp!
