Hi. Just to let everyone know. I spoke with a USCIS officer this morning. Actually I spoke with a few. Your green card officially expires on the date listed on your extension letter. In our case, it is June 8 of this year. They recommended that we get an info pass appointment end of April or early May if we hadn't heard anything to get his passport stamped. I think there is confusion on this forum about when the green card officially expires. Hope this will help.

26 July 2013 - Package delivered (according to USPS tracking number)

30 July 2013 - NOA1 notice date

31 July 2013 - Received USCIS e-notiification and receipt number: Package received, transferred to CSC

31 July 2013 - Check cashed

31 July 2013 - "Alien registration number changed" email

2 August 2013 - Received NOA1 hardcopy

4 September 2013 - Received Approval

9 September 2013 - Received NOA2 hardcopy

16 October 2013 - Received by NVC!! Case creation date.

21 October 2013- Status changed to READY for interview

29 October 2013- Packet 3 received

12 November 2013 - Embassy received packet 3 documents

Thank you for letting us know. That's what I wanted to hear, because that's what I thought. Nobody answered my question and confirmed that. I'm June 8th too. And I have to get a stamp before I leave for a trip in the middle of May.

Guys I'm stressing out. In my move I somehow lost my form with my Receipt # on it which I need to do a Change of Address. I literally had it in my hand a few days before we moved, I have no idea where it could have gone to as I'm an extremely organized person. I called the USCIS twice and both times they said a tier-2 officer was not available - so they put in a service request on Thursday for a tier-2 to contact me with my Receipt # information but said it could take 3-5 business days. I'm getting nervous seeing all these approvals (although not for VSC) and I'm getting concerned they won't get my Change of Address in time. Sigh!

Perhaps try scheduling an infopass as well and see if you can get them to print you a new receipt at your local office.

Shouldn't people add the service center that is handling the petition? I believe there is a 3-5 month gap between where CSC and VSC are at in their progression.

 

The latest update from VSC is from January 31, 2017 and they are caught up to February 15th at the time listed. They appear to be progressing 45 days for every 30 day update at the moment which is tremendous progress compared to a few months ago. But it seems to take them about 40 days to change the status on their updates which is kind of ridiculous haha. 

 

Does anyone else have any current information on the VSC and where they are at presently?

February 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 33;  Approved - 28;  Approval percentage - 88%

March 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 35;  Approved - 7;  Approval percentage - 20%  (only one approval since my last stats)

April 2016 Filers - Total VJ VSC Filers - 31;  Approved - 1;  Approval percentage - 3%
