The signature should be original, so signing and mailing is best.

However with that said, there have been folks who have submitted scanned versions and didn't get any RFEs. It's a gamble on your part which route you take.

Just the same an original signature is required on the Letter of Intent to marry so don't see the logic of mailing one and emailing the other.

Yes, it does make sense to mail G325A with original signature if OP's fiance is mailing the letter of intent anyway. Only if G325A was left out, then no need of mailing.
