Please help guys,

I was about to start filling DS-261. I realized I used my wife's maiden name to fill I-130. We changed her name on the passport after filling I-130. Is it fine if we change her name on DS-261 to her married name?

Please help,

Thank You

I think you will have to use the same name as the new passport (married name) because she will get the visa with the same name and it has to match with the passport.

I would suggest you to call NVC and let them know that you have done this change and ask them before filling DS-261.

Here is an old thread I found which might be helpful: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/278687-nvc-spouse-name-change-after-nao2-aproval/

Thank You,

That I am not sure of. But if you call NVC, they would know the answer for sure. I hope you don't have to wait for that.
