Hi everyone! First, I want to say that all of you are amazing people! It is great being together in this journey. Second, I have questions, of course. Me and my husband live in Bulgaria, Europe, pay local taxes (I have dual citizenship). I'm trying to figure out several things:

- on my I-864 do I put "0" if the income is foreign (below US poverty limit) and it will not continue once we get to US. We have a joint sponsor

- do i check the box that i am using my husband's income on i-864 or no since his income is like mine

- is it needed for me/him to obtain a letter from my/his employer in Europe which states i'm/he's currently employed

- do i need to proof assets if i have a joint sponsor

Thank you in advance.

I live abroad as well. I called NVC yesterday and asked them should I include my income form Bosnia since we are using a joint sponsor. She said that is fine it wont hurt anything. Since I filled taxes from Abroad we will include those.

Thank you E & E!

Man, i just realized I haven't filed US taxes for the past 4 years despite my foreign income :( I just want to cry. Are there any fines for such late filings?

No you will not get a checklist for filing i-864 instead of I-864EZ. If you have filled i-864 correctly you should be good to go.

Thank you very much.

Lol hopefully you'll get it anytime now :D

Hoping for the best!! I think they will give it at the end of 2 weeks only. If I get it anytime before that, than it will be a bonus.

Yep, that's what I am doing. NVC received my case on June 15th and still waiting for case number.
