Hello. I just checked and it says NVC. I was reading on the website that after they recieve our paper work, it takes another 3 or 4 months after to schedule an interview. I hope that's not true. We already had our C.C on may 18. So it's 3 or 4 months after C.C to schedule an interview or is it 3 or 4 months after the embassy recieves our paper work from the NVC to schedule an interview. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Here is the link where you can check the days from CC to interview. Search for your country.

Team,

I just want to say THANK YOU ALL, always lurker, never poster but i have to share the happiness with you. We were approved today, mostly because this site prepared us from the beginning to the end. Paperwork, questions, etc. We brought like a million documents, "they can't say NO" was our battle cry. even the pictures were labeled (uncle XX with YY), hahaha, they required only 3 documents: marriage certificate, birth certificate (beneficiary) & police record all originals, because we submitted copies for the case initially (USCIS-NVC).

Questions were asked fast so you don't have time to think, around 15-20 questions in 5-6 minutes:

Where & how did you met?

Did you kept in contact from year XX to year XX?

How you kept the contact?

When did you meet again?

Why you decided to marry on XX year?

When did your wife moved to USA?

What does she do for living?

Where does she do that? (Name of company)

Do you have children in common?

Do you have children by your own?

Is the kid in the application?

Have you lived in other country?

What were you doing in this country?

How long you lived there?

Besides this place, have you LIVED in other country? (We had a little argument here between words living & travelling, because i (Natural Me, complicating what should be basic) said well i lived for 15 days at XX place but that was travelling, so consul fixed glasses and looked at me straight in the eyes, digging inside my brain, and then was more specific and asked about residence and not pleasure travelling. I think he thought i was trying to be smart*ss

Have you had a criminal case here in this country?

Have you had a criminal case in XX country?

Have you ever being petitioned by someone from the USA besides this time?

People i think i'm missing 3-4 questions, but that was the core of the case

Appointment lasted around 10 minutes but overall process took 2 hours... Checked CEAC site visa said AP at 11:30AM & at 2:00PM it said ISSUED

Congratulations!!!!! :dancing:

I know this is difficult, but I will keep trying. It will work because, this distance is nothing compared to our love.

10/2013 we met at church in USA, through some common friends. We became friends.

06/07/2014 we went to our first date. :dancing: Why did we take so long to go out? :ranting:

06/22/2014 I said YES.. I want to be your girlfriend... :luv:

07/16/2014 I had to come back to Colombia because my program was over

10/10/2014 My love met me in Colombia to spend my birthday weekend with me. We got engaged (L)

02/17/2015 - 03/09/2015 He came back to Colombia to visit me and met my family. :star:

05/12/2015 We couldn't stand the distance, so he decided to move here with me.

05/28/2015 We got married at the notary. 06/06/2015 We got married at church :D

12/03/2016  Moved back to the USA. 🥰

i don't know what is international version and national version, we have only BC which can be used for both, if you have that kind of things then you should use international version or ask them what to use from your official

and hey E & E i have a Q from you

what is the address sending DC from abroad to NVC?

National Visa Center
Attn. CMR
31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

it is right address ?

Yes that address is fine. Everyone sends it to that same address from anywhere in the world. Just write "USA" at the bottom of it, like this:

National Visa Center
Attn. CMR
31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

USA

Or you can send it to:

National Visa Center
Attn: DR
31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

USA

Just choose one and send it, you won't have any problems.

Guys,

I am just trying to get ahead of myself. I have already filled out I-864; however, I do qualify to fill I-864EZ.

Do you think I will get checklisted for sending I-864 instead of I-864EZ?

Thank you in advance.

No you will not get a checklist for filing i-864 instead of I-864EZ. If you have filled i-864 correctly you should be good to go.

Yup - I qualified to fill out an EZ, but (for whatever reason - maybe to justify their cost?) my lawyer submitted an I-864. No issue getting a CC.
