So question about the medical, when is my spouse able to make an appointment for his medical? Do I need to finish the ds-260 first?

Yes, you should finish the DS-260 first. And also, I don't think you can get the medical done until you get an interview scheduled. According to St.Luke's Medical Center website (http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml), an interview letter from NVC or interview appointment confirmation from the embassy is needed.

another question is,

can we send our package to NVC from abroad especially from middle east or should we send this to US some friends they will send it for us we are currently living abroad ?

We are filling from Abroad and sending my documents from Bosnia. My friend that we are using as joint sponsor will send me her I864 and documents I will include them with my and send it off.

No I did not it is not required since it is our joint sponsor. I have to proof the relationship with the beneficiary which is my husband and we are sending marriage certificate.

After the documents are sent via email processing (EP), do you receive a notification from NVC saying they have received the documents or does one have to call them to get that info?

This was clarified a few times before. I know you mentioned that your joint sponsor is married. If the joint sponsor tax return is joint with lets say his wife then the wife need to fill out the I-864A thats when the proof of relationship is required for the husband and wife that filed the joint tax return. If your sponsor did not file his tax return jointly with his wife then there will be no I-864A thats required hense no proof of relationship required. Hope you're clear with when the proof of relationship is required.

The question big question here is did your sponsor file his tax return with his spouse? If the answer is no then there is no proof of relationship thats required. If the answer is yes then you need the wife to fill out form I-864A and have the marriage certificate sent in.

Excellent explanation, MrsBurgz! Hopefully this clears this matter up for Studentss, which it really should.

Also, Students indicated that they're filing from the middle east, and asked whether he/she should route the AOS/IV packet through the US-based joint sponsor or send directly to NVC. Doing it the way E&E did is best because it gives you peace of mind that your packet will be compiled in the correct order and sent to the correct address.

Additionally, be sure to verify whether or not you are eligible for e-processing as the consulates that take e-processing are all Middle Eastern (for the exception of Cuba). E-processing would definitely save you considerable time / money.

3 to 4 months after case complete.

One more thing. So was competing part 6 of I864. Since we filled married from abroad my husband salary is included in the total of my tax paperwork. Should I add him somewhere in the part 6.

Foreign income can not be added to the I-864. The immigrants income is not apart of the I-864 unless they are working for a US based company

Hi guys, I'm new to this group. I'm gathering IV and AOS packages for my husband and my son. Received the case numbers on May 6th. I am having trouble getting my social security earnings statement because I live abroad with my hubby. Do you know if it is really important to have it in the package?

I'm confused about the whole case complete / scan date thing. Yesterday we received an email saying that the NVC has all our documents and I'm now currently in a queue to get an interview date within the next 60 days. So that's completed right?
