Still waiting for a response for my ques..

So just got off from the phone with a nvc rep. She told us to send a copy of my wife passport, as the last name of my wife is my surname for the primary petitioner. But the aos docs we sent them has her maiden name as last name in sponsor. However my wife did not yet changed her surname from her maiden name to my surname on any of her documents after marraige..m really cofused here. I checked the ceac website and i see that the name under primary petitioner is my wife first name and my surname. I dunno how to explain. Do u think sending my wife passport copy by email will take this case longer than usual?

Sorry, not familiar with that kind of issue. But since you were on the phone with a NVC rep it would probably have been the easiest to clarify it right away? If they asked you to send the copy of the passport you will have to do it anyway so there's really no point on asking / wondering if it will take longer or not. Most likely NVC will not proceed on your case before you sent them what they are asking for.

We are filling out the visa application for my husband. Do I include our children even though they are USC?

The questions have you served in the military? What do they mean, my husband did the 4 months military training that was then required by law in Bosnia for all males after age 18. Is that considered serving the military?

They are requesting her passport to verify her identity because what nvc has on file is her new last name not the maiden name. So when they see that the aos docs, tax docs etc in her maiden name (which is different than whats on file) they simple want to verify her identity. So just simple send the passport they are asking for. Its not that complicated as you're making it seem. Hopefully she didn't change her maiden name in the passport as yet.

You asked this twice no one answered because we don't know what NVC will do. Everything should always match Did you put your surname on the G325A and I-130 info They got it from somewhere Hopefully they will sort it out an not delay you. All you can do is wait and see.

Guys, when i filled my spouse I-130 petition I used my wife's madien name. After the petition we changed her passport and she has taken my last name and middle name.

My question is can I change her name in the NVC process? Meaning, can I use her married name on DS260, DS261, and I-864? Would this cause any delay in our process?

Thank You.

You stated that the petitioner isn't working. How will he/she get a pay stub or an employment letter?

Since the petitioner isn't working I would think you would be using assets or have a sponsor? Correct?

Studentss,

I am confused at your question. I assume your petitioner's income is not enough. In that case, you would need to have a sponsor. Depends on the relationship between the petitioner and the sponsor person, one must select the correct AOS form for it. Best wish.

I have a question, when you get the checklist and the NVC states in the mail that, "If acceptable proof of eligibility is not provided as requested your case will be reassigned to process at the Embassy/Consulate in your last country of residence.", will i still need to send the request email to them for change of adresss or will they automatically assigned my case to my country of citizen?

P.s. I sent the document what i have of my current living country but i m 99.99% sure thay will not accept it and send me one more checklist.
