If your spouse were also immigrating, then you would answer yes. If your spouse is just travelling with you, the answer is no.

You need to receive particular vaccinations prior to entering to U.S. based upon your age. See https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/Print/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter9.html (scroll down to section D to see the age-specific list). If you do not currently have them (and the documentation to prove you do) you can answer no and say that you will get them done prior to the interview.

Yea, if she's already a US citizen, you'd answer "no" to the question "Is your spouse immigrating to the US with you?"

What tracking number for AOS & IV paperwork are you referring to? NVC doesn't send any tracking number for any paperwork. They only provide you with Case number and Invoice number.

You're coming on a spousal/family visa, not on an employment visa, so you would mark no. your purpose to seek to enter the US is to be with your spouse.

Thanks, LinJoe! I mean the tracking number for us to track our AOS & IV paperwork on its way from the post office to NVC. I didn't get it from my SO or more like the person who sent it off for us. I so wish I could just look up online whether it has made it there already. I know the Scan Date may take a bit longer, but just knowing it's finally there would be such a relief!

Thanks for the help on the question :-) I'll check no then. I'm so worried I make mistakes on the DS-260!

And i called nvc yesterday they told me that they recieved the aos and IV documents on 9th. When asked about the scan email they say that they are facing issues with the emails. But the wierd part here is that we sent the paperwork and by tracking the package i see that the UPS delivered thm on 9th..are nvc so fast that the paperwork was scanned in their system on the same day they recieved it. So does this mean my scan day is on 9th?

That's a good question. I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but hopefully someone will be able to elaborate? I would like to know what they mean with issues re emails. I mean, we know not everyone gets that e-mail, right?

I'm not too sure about what to do with umlauts. The DS-260 will tell you not to enter any special characters, but you have to match the beneficiary's name with their passport, so I'd suggest just writing ä as a, ö as o, etc, HOWEVER, I defer to anyone else who has had experience with filling out that portion of the DS-260 with regard to umlauts.

As for that question about skilled labor, if you're coming into the US on a spouse, fiance, or other family-based visa, the answer to this question is NO. Your real purpose of coming to the US is to reunite with your family/spouse. This question is more for people who are applying for a work visa.

Thanks, B&Z! I will have to take a very close look at my passport then. However, my address is not on there, so... I might just check in our country's thread. I'm sure I'm not the first with an umlaut.

I'm so nervous about the DS-260. I printed the sample version and filled it out there as well as I could so I can just copy off that when I can finally do it online!

Get this.... Checklisted.... For our MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE..... LINJOE, how did you survive???? I can't believe this.....

Oh no! I hope you get a positive feedback soon so that you don't have to deal with that problem.

We're going out for ice cream ??????

I hope you enjoyed the ice cream, after the checklist and phone calls, you sure deserve it to calm down and relax!

That was the first time in April when they checklisted us and then we resent it but now I see Jordache who has the same scan date as me got a checklist and I'm just really worried because I didn't see a third n/a as yet. We sent exactly what they asked for so what can possibly be wrong again? I'm at work and I can't even concentrate anymore :(

I'm sure your paperwork will be fine now and you'll get the CC soon :) Maybe your officer is still a bit behind and that's why Jordache got the checklist and you're still waiting.
