its take 2 months but they schedule visa appointment one month in advance so this month end u will get a interview date but still wait another month till interview

You were lucky in having your interview scheduled quickly but the average wait time is 2-5 months after case is completed at NVC.

My case got complete yesterday, Wat is the average time for interview in Jamaica?

Hi, congrats on your case complete! :dancing: The average wait time is 2-5 months for JA embassy. You can assess the trends by looking at JA on the Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet:

So true...brina29 I believe visa category is K1 and they can schedule their own based on available calendar slots and don't have to wait for the NVC...

Stay strong sweetie. It will soon be over! Stay the positive solider that you are.

Giirrrrllll....this situation is truly a test of love and commitment!

I emailed the embassy yesterday before I set off to bed asking for a HUMAN response and my closing line to them was that my kids are heartbroken from being away from their stepdad and they can't begin to imagine the stress I am under from being away from my husband for so long.

After sending all those followup emails from last Monday to yesterday and getting a generic reply, I finally got my human reply this morning. It shows me that they do have a heart for keeping families together....so my positivity never leaves me and being a member on here adds to my hope. We are all worlds apart but it seems like we are a couple friends having drinks after work when talking abt this visa journey (L) [[CHEERS!]]

I got a question guys!

My birth certificate translation was notarized in the States because when I sent out my aos and IV package I was in the States.

Now the interview is coming up. I was wondering if my birth certificate translation needs to be notarized in my country ( Taiwan )?

Maybe they don't take American notary on a translation from Chinese??

Please help! Interview is in 4 days.

Whooohooo! My husband got his passport back today with visa! But the American embassy in Ghana didn't contact him, he just had to go check.

Congratulations Hansona!! Yea, our embassy doesn't contact us either. But happy to hear that he finally has visa in hand. Hopefully he'll be making his way to you very soon :)

The docs that need translation must be done so by an English translator and notarized that it is a true translation in English. It does not matter where or who does it, just ensure it is certified and notarized. :)

Hi I had my interview on the 25th and was approved, the CEAC website said Issued on the 27th and that was the last update, Today it's been updated again and I haven't received my passport yet. It's still show ISSUED though.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks

How long did they tell you it takes to get passport back? The status can change many times. Many have their status changed to Issued a few days after interview and still have too wait the allotted time for "REAL " Issuance.
