Well Visa fee paid. I feel poor. Hubby leaving Nigeria in less than 23 hours from now. We are exactly 48 hours away from him landing.

What is the likelihood of getting an interview date next week if I've only just had the case complete on the 20th June?
I'm guessing that is wishful thinking? Probably should expect the end of July at the earliest? A few people seem to get through the process fairly quickly, but others are waiting months and months, so it's hard to tell if I'm going to be in the same boat. I'm getting a little impatient now! I just want to have a date so that I have a goal in mind.

What did you have to do for change of address? Just give the new addy to the person in secondary?

My husband has been talking about renting a new apartment and the current lease will be up in the time range I'm entering the US so I'm a little concerned.

FYI to anyone needing to update their address before they arrive. From the USCIS website .

If you are entering the United States on an immigrant visa, we will mail your Green Card to the mailing address in the U.S. you provided at the time of your immigrant visa interview or when you were admitted entry into the United States.

Thank you. He's like a kid going to summer camp. His first international flight. And Emirates airlines looks awesome. Can't wait to hear his flight story and POE.

It's not about when you got Case Complete but how many slots are available and where you are in the queue. London is a big embassy so the likelihood is greater say Egypt, Jamaica or Ghana. They have to wait 3 to 5 months.

Hey all, just went thru POE in Seattle. Piece of cake; even with the change of address I was dreading so much. I was done in 10 minutes. Now waiting for my connecting flight to Phoenix and then I'll be at our new home with the hubby ♥

It looks roomie in the pictures. He will be on Boeing 777 from Lags to Dubai that's the first 7 hrs. Than 17 hrs he gets the Airbus 380. Told him I want pictures. Like Facebook streaming. LOL (he won;t do it but a girl can dream).

Been on both those airplanes (not those flights). What amazed me with the 380 was that it looks like a beluga whale, but the take-off and landing were absolutely as smooth as silk.
