for now long story short.

---------------------

Interview was on 6/20/2016 @ 8am. Drove to the embassy for about 2 hours around 3am. Waited 3 hours with 17 people before still ahead of me. Through process in about 3 hours. with total of almost 6 hours.

Around 11am, called into "mysterious" room. questions askled as follows:

Where does your wife live?

What do you work as in Dubai

How long have you been living in Dubai for?

And guess what, I was not asked to submit a single original document. Just 2 passport photos and my medical exam packet.

New Police certificate was a waste. they din ask for orignals, neither the new one I got. I was informed that. my PCC is okay for 12 months. even though that certificate has a expire date of 3 months. *confused*

However, If any of you have questions about Abu Dhabi ( i will surely be more than happy to answer)

Cheers..

I got my Police certificate in Dubai, which is also valid for 3 months as yours. I did get a new one because it expired a month before my interview.

However, The embassy did not take any new documentation and I specifically asked them to take my new certificate and they said yours is valid for 12 months as per them. (so, i just wasted my money!).

No Okun, u don't have to get a new police certificate, I got mine in February, 3months was stated on it, I had my interview last week and I submitted what I had and I was fine.the three months validity is for NVC, the certificate is good for one year I think,if they needed a new police certificate,it will have been stated in your interview letter, but if it will make u feel beter u can get a new one.all the best

The process actually being with the BP and going through your documents takes minutes. There are husbands if not thousands of people at any given time standing in line. So give each person 5 minutes and you are like #300 there you have your wait time.

It's only when you are pulled from line and sent too secondary interview (the little room to the side) that may take longer.

Thank you, Dwheels!!

I am hopefully traveling this weekend and will be in Houston :dancing:

I will let you know if it took my 5 x 300 or secondary check.

When I traveled on my non-immigrant visa, I was pulled for secondary check.
