My wife made it through POE in Houston. Other than only having one officer for a line of 200 people, the only question they asked her is her name. Received a CR1 stamp. Cooked us a good rib eye for dinner and now trying to get my cat to play nicely with her two cats. Thanks again everyone. See you in two years -90 days for Removal of Conditions!

Are you in Houston??

Has anybody encountered the same before?

We received CC on 26 May but at the same time was also asked to bring along 2015 IRS transcript for the interview . My husband tried to get the transcript online but could not login even when he keyed in the correct details, now he is completely logged out of IRS web. We also requested for hard copy but because we have no idea which address they will send to, there is a chance that we might not be able to get our hands on the transcript before our interview on July 11. We requested a change of address but it states it will take 4-6 weeks for the change to get through.. Panicking now and not really sure what else we can do..... Really don't wish for embassy to deny or delay us because of this........ :(

How l9ng does it take to get a date for the interview after case complete

Hi,

First, please create a Timeline so that others can properly assist you.

Second, you can view DWheels76 Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet and search for other members from your country. This should give you an average of how long it takes to get the interview.

When you go to the IRS website and request a mailed copy it should've asked you for your street address. If you click on the little question mark next to the street address part, this is what it says:

Street Address Help

Use the address currently on file with the IRS. Generally this will be that address you listed on the latest tax return you filed. However, we also get updates from the US Postal Service if you've updated your address with them.

You should get it in the mail a week later.

I live in College Station (about 1.5 hours drive from Houston). If you're flying into IAH expect a huge super long wait at Houston POE. Took about 3 hours total. :)

What did they do at iah POE??

Do all POE's take several hours?

No. It depends upon the airport, the time of day, and how familiar the CBP officer is with immigrants. Ours was at JFK and took 20 minutes. But we were one of the first out of the plane, and had only 5 people ahead of us in line. I traveled with my spouse (I'm the USC), and we were able to go through the USA line. We were flying a Hong Kong airline, and most aboard were non-US citizens.

If the plane lands within 30 minutes of a couple of wide-bodies, it can take forever. If you are the first plane landing in early morning hours, it can be easy.

Other than volume problems, the major airports (LAX, JFK, MIA, DFW, ORD, for example) are used to dealing with new immigrants. Some of the regional airports may not be as familiar.

How l9ng does it take to get a date for the interview after case complete

The average time from CC to interview for Australia is 25 to 45 days - and it has been trending toward the latter....Sydney only interviews IR-1/CR-1 folks on Tuesdays.

Good morning,

Interview date June 15th 2016 US embassy Trinidad.

I arrived inside the embassy 8:20 I was asked to put my documents in side a brown folder, then I waited for my name to call I went to booth #1. There was a woman checking over my documents she took my passport, marriage certificate, 1 passport photo and my birth certificate.

She asked

What's my husband's name

His address

His contact number

What is my job title

Where I work

Took my finger print

Then I was asked to have a seat and wait for my name to call.

She was very friendly and polite.

By 9:30 my name was called, I went to booth #2 where I met an American guy who was the CO.

He asked me to raise my right hand to swear an oat.

Took my finger print.

He asked how my husband and I met, we met om May 2015 and got married on July 2015, he was concern why we got married so fast. I told him we love each other and didn't want to wait to get married. However we went primary school together. I also showed him all the what's app chats and call log after browsing though the chats he said you are approved.

He give me an approval letter and told me to sign up for the DHL delivery, which I already did thanks to Amadia (she is such a darling after we spoke on the June 14th I was a bit at ease thank you so much)

So now I just have to sit back and wait for my package to be delivered which the CO said within 1 to 2 weeks it would be delivered. I would update you all when I receive it.

Congratulations.
